A good quality work was performed and completed as stated. Unfortunately when we received the final invoice the cost had grown by $1100.00 over the quoted price. During the work there was no communication regarding any incremental costs. We were under the impression only the work as quoted had been performed. At the end of the process the owner added costs to the project and never provided an itemized list of the additions. Then proceeded to get defensive when asked for cost details. This was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend Autumnwood Construction to any person seeking a recommendation. **Comment from Autumnwood Construction Inc.:** > I am sorry for the issue ! This was existing deck and sun room repair project due extreme frost heave damage (we did not do the original work) with a lot of unknown's. > > Still we tried our best to keep to the contracted price, but when we are requested to replace/add landscaping, replace driveway cracks that was not covered and talked about upfront, and repair doors/roofing that was not within the scope. All while we are in the middle of the project... To stop our repair crew from working to discuss pricing that was requested, while you knowing the scope of work, might be considered unreasonable. > > We also added for no charge 1) sod instead of seeding an area. 2) We had to come back to add 2"-3" to sidewalk that was not wide enough. 3) Installed brick pavers instead of concrete because it was the right thing to do with high water table site conditions. 4) Met with building inspectors, soil engineer, and test dug an old footing out for the proper inspection for repairs/permits... again all for no extra costs to the homeowners. > > After doing all that and the other extras ...
