> Our neighbors had previously worked with Tim (Stonepocket), and I was very impressed with the result. Tim Heelan and his crew are very professional and meticulous in their landscaping work. I was amazed at how much they did in three days during the Fall. All of the work was flawless, and all of the crew very nice to work with.
> Tim is a creative landscape architect; his proposals were beautiful in their design, and very individualized to our (sloping) front lawn and need for replacement of two trees damaged and removed after a July storm.
> Stonepocket is not cheap---because this quality of work cannot be cheap---but I feel the expense was justified, based on the result. It really is a pleasure to work with Tim and the Stonepocket crew, as they clearly are very proud of their work. I would certainly recommend them to our friends and neighbors.
>
> We still have some remaining plantings in April, but the major portion of the work has been completed (and Tim will be checking to see how the plants weathered the winter). I have attached a photo taken during the landscape work (literally a work in progress).

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you for your kind words. Really excited to see the landscape start to fill in this coming season.

> Tim with Stonepocket did our backyard transformation project last summer. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and we can't recommend him enough! We moved into a new home a few years ago and new that building a new patio with updated stairs and landscaping would be in our future but had never embarked on a project like that. We met with Tim who helped us envision a backyard we didn't know was possible. He created a detailed design and made himself available for multiple discussions. We weren't quite ready to dive in when he first shared his design but we were ready the next summer and he was patient with our timeline. Tim has a deep understanding of stone and paver options as well as plants. He gave us multiple options to ensure we were staying within our budget and helped us pick materials and plants that we liked best. We are so happy with the finished product and look forward to leveraging Tim for future projects!

> It was an absolute pleasure to work with Tim and his team at Stonepocket Unique Landscapes. We originally planned to remodel the landscaping in the front of our house, but when we saw the beautiful design that Tim
> presented to us, we decided to remodel the landscaping in the backyard too. The results were amazing! Tim has a keen eye for landscape design. He chose beautiful, interesting plants and there is always something in bloom the entire summer. We have received so many compliments from all our neighbors. The project transformed our house! We would highly recommend Tim to anyone considering a landscape project!

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Brenda and Ben. Look forward to seeing the gardens come spring.

**★★★★★ — Stacy Natal, Jan. 2026**

> Tim did an amazing job with our yard. We had a water drainage issue and our grass and back yard was washing away. His company redesigned our entire backyard with plants and bushes and trees, varied stone work, underground drainage, a retaining wall, patio, and walking path. It looks absolutely beautiful and the variety in plants is so lovely. There were things in bloom all summer long. I would highly recommend this company.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Stacy. Looking forward to visiting this coming spring.

**★★★★★ — Rob & Jorge, May 2025**

> Tim is an incredible artist when it comes to landscaping and curating outdoor spaces. His incorporation of different species of trees, flowers, and grasses are truly next level!

**★★★★★ — Luke Flatla, March 2025**

> We hired Tim Heelan with Stonepocket Design to help with our backyard patio and landscaping, with the flexibility to DIY, work with him, or do a mix. In the end, Tim led the design and build for our patio, grading, fencing, and steps—and we’re so glad he did. He was a clear communicator, always showed up when he said he would, and managed his team with professionalism and care. Tim was flexible and creative, helping us find solutions that looked great and stayed within our budget.
>
> It was such a relief to work with someone so dependable, fair, and proactive—he kept us informed if plans shifted and addressed any concerns quickly. We’d recommend Tim to anyone, whether you’re working with a big budget or small, and no matter your style.

> Tim with Stonepocket was amazing. My landscaping in the front of my house got out of control. It hadn’t been maintained properly for a while. Trees and bushes were overgrown and my front walkway needed repaired. Everytime I drove up to my house I just felt embarrassed and frustrated. I spoke with several landscapers and picked Stonepocket because I felt Tim just knew his stuff and knew what plants, trees etc would work best for my home and me. I’m not a green thumb and wanted something beautiful but low maintenance. He was so easy to work with and answered all my questions and I had alot of them. I never felt pressured and he was transparent about everything. The final results were incredible. I absolutely love everything and have received so many compliments. Now when I drive up to my house, it makes me happy.

> Tim and Stonepocket are incredible! He gave us a beautiful landscape design, worked with us on a flexible timeline, and works with only the highest quality contractors. I have already recommended him to everyone I know!

**★★★★★ — HU-94861028, Sept. 2024**

> We cannot recommend Stonepocket highly enough. Tim created a detailed design to transform a neglected garden along our lengthy driveway into a peaceful entry to our home and yard. He was sensitive to our desire for a low-maintenance solution that would incorporate native plants and attract pollinators. His team's work is thorough and impressive. For an overgrown hillside blackberry patch, Tim worked with a metal artist to provide an attractive support system for the vines. And Tim's team laid beautiful stone stairs and a path around the patch to access the berries easily. We are so pleased with the results and enjoyed the process with Tim and team that we already have plans for a project with Stonepocket next year!

> Tim Heelan, with Stonepocket Inc., did a major landscaping design, and the implementation of the plan for us in the fall of 2022. The choice of what trees and plants was well thought out and continues to look better with each passing year as the plants mature. We are very pleased with his work and with the crew he had do the install. We highly recommend this very creative and talented person.

**★★★★★ — pservais, Aug. 2024**

> Have been using Stonepocket for a few years now and very pleased with the quality of work. Tim has great landscaping design ideas and really works with you to come up with a plan. The crew does an excellent job installing the design. Highly recommend.

**★★★★★ — Brenda, April 2024**

> Tim was very professional to work with. We collaborated on a patio design and plantings that transformed my unsightly area. I now enjoy a beautiful, charming outdoor space!

**★★★★★ — shotsief, April 2024**

> Stonepocket (Tim) is reliable, attentive, very creative and a pleasure to work with. His design and follow-through exceeded my expectations.

**★★★★★ — Shannon Browne, April 2024**

> We recently had the pleasure of working with Stonepocket Unique Landscapes on a project to transform our backyard space, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From the initial consultation to the final touches, Tim and his team exhibited unparalleled professionalism, expertise, and dedication. What truly set Stonepocket apart was Tim’s exceptional communication and attentiveness to our needs throughout the entire process. Tim listened attentively to our vision and preferences, and skillfully translated them into a stunning design that exceeded our expectations and met our deadline (a backyard graduation party). The wealth of knowledge and experience were evident in every aspect of the project from plant selection to hardscape design. The end result is a breathtaking outdoor oasis that perfectly reflects our style and enhances our lifestyle. We highly recommend Stonepocket to anyone seeking a seamless and transformative landscape experience.

**★★★★★ — Roger O., Feb. 2023**

> We asked Tim to design and build a backyard patio with landscaping. The end result is a peaceful, restful space which guests do not want to leave. Old friends & neighbors forget where they are and relax in our new oasis. It feels as if we have added a room to the house with spaces for both intimate chats and larger areas for entertaining guests. We have never attracted so many hummingbirds and butterflies as the new plantings do.
>
> Tim created the design, oversaw the installation of the stone patio, chose bird and insect friendly native plants and gave us beauty and practicality. He paid close attention to sight lines and elevation changes factoring in future plant and tree growth. Tim and his work crews were responsive to questions and easy to work with. The stone patio is a work of art.

**★★★★★ — Mary Ann Mead, April 2022**

> In the summer of 2021, we hired Tim Heelan of Stonepocket to refurbish our backyard landscaping. This job required the removal of overgrown and tired plantings, the relocation of loved and still viable plants, and a new vision for a large hillside terraced garden. We also needed to address a drainage issue and did so by installing pop-up drains to keep roof drainage from flooding our neighbor's yards on both side of our lot. Tim was flexible and shared creative ideas including a beautiful rendering of the final proposed design for the backyard project. The crew that worked on the project was extremely knowledgable about stonework and the variety of garden plants that were required for the job. They were creative and flexible about on-the-job trouble shooting when unexpected issues cropped up. (For example, we have a mysterious sprinkler system which was not installed by us, and the garden plan had to be adjusted to fit with the original piping once it was discovered underground. We were informed of the issue and were included in the problem solving.) The crew was respectful of neighbor's properties and cleaned up the site each day as they finished, even sweeping the street where they loaded and unloaded their equipment. We would wholeheartedly recommend Stonepocket for landscape projects using stonework (terracing, limestone slab steps, etc.) and creative and colorful garden plantings. We were so satisfied with the outcome of our project that we are hiring Tim and company again this summer to refresh the front yard! We live in an association of detached town houses, and the HOA is happy to welcome Stonepocket back after seeing the outcome of our project.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Mary Ann, thank you for your kind words and looking forward to assisting you again in your front yard project.
> Tim Heelan, Owner of Stonepocket

**★★★★★ — HU-934110667, Feb. 2022**

> I was impressed how Tim came out initially to assess the existing landscape, terrain, slope, drainage etc. Then we discussed the goals; in our case, we wanted to prevent further erosion, gain curb appeal, and provide food/habitat for wildlife. We benefited from Tim's horticulture and botany background; the knowledge of trees and plants: sun, shade, root systems were important factors to consider. He then drew up a blueprint and after a couple small tweaks, a beautiful plan emerged. We chose to do some of the preliminary work ourselves. When late spring arrived, his crew came out to pull out the invasive plants, replant with native perennials with additional dirt/mulch and the backyard was completely transformed! The blueprint plan he drew up did an excellent job of seamlessly transitioning the side yard to the back yard. We also had him put in steps down to our pond, as the old path was treacherous. The neighbors are pleased also, with the better view they have. We will continue to seek out his expertise on future improvements we will make to our home.

**★★★★★ — Danielle Jastrow, Feb. 2022**

> Tim at Stonepocket is absolutely FANTASTIC to work with. After interviewing and researching several other companies, it quickly became clear that Tim and Stonepocket were head and shoulders above the competition. In the fall of 2017, we had completed building our home and needed to landscape our entire yard, both front and back. While we were pretty specific about how we planned to use the space, we weren't sure how to bring that vision to life. Enter Tim. After patiently listening to our descriptions and reviewing our selections, Tim patiently walked us through several iterations of our project as he both taught us about our selections and introduced us to other possibilities. Once we finalized our project and the work began, Tim was there daily, either doing the work himself and/or coordinating and overseeing his subcontractors. He walked us through who we would need to speak with when in order to keep our project on time. I think my favorite thing about working with Tim and Stonepocket is the continued care and work that he puts into our project. It was evident from day 1 and has continued to be reinforced even 4 years later, that Tim views this as more than a job. He takes pride in his work and it shows. I can't recommend Tim and Stonepocket highly enough!

**★★★★ — Rachel Sherwood, Feb. 2022**

> We have worked with Tim to develop new landscaping including large trees, small flower gardens, fire pit and large edible garden spaces. I loved Tim particularly for his knowledge of plants. He helped us choose items that look good but also easy to care for, create beauty, privacy spaces and enhance the environment using native plants when possible and choosing items that also benefit surrounding wildlife. He was very easy to communicate with, his hardscape contractors were very good. We had a little trouble with some of the planting of actual trees and plants but I was quite particular and in the end all was made right. Tim was great to work with we will hire him again for an outdoor kitchen space in the future. We highly recommend him especially if unique plants and supporting our ecosystem is important to you.

**★★★★★ — David K, Feb. 2022**

> Tim and his crew were very professional every step of the way from the initial Landscape design to the completed project. Definitely recommend Stonepocket!

**★★★★★ — Stacy Fantauzzi, Feb. 2022**

> Tim has integrity and passion for his work. He approaches each project as a unique canvas and puts a lot of thought into the final look and eventual growth considerations for plantings. We wanted a paver patio, easy to maintain plants, rock and lighting features and an enclosed raised garden. He listened to our needs and proposed a design that we absolutely love. We get compliments all the time about our backyard oasis. If you have big ideas, he has a "guy" for everything and will work with you to scale up or down as your budget allows. In our case, we took a phased approach over several years...continuing to fill in plants and replace trees around the house over time. He guarantees his work and will check in the season after planting to ensure there are no concerns. We have and will continue to recommend Tim to friends and neighbors!

**★★★★★ — arletteep, Jan. 2021**

> It was a pleasure to work with Tim and his crew. The design of the new landscaping will add curb appeal to our property. The job site was always clean and organized at the end of each day. I will use them again for future projects.

**★★★★★ — Eric Ketchum, Dec. 2020**

> I knew I wanted to work with a professional for our landscaping needs and design. As an avid gardener I really needed help pulling all my ideas together, editing them, and getting new ideas as well. Time was great to work with, from the beginning I could see he had some great ideas on how we could accomplish the look we were looking for. We wanted something natural, fitting with MN native plantings and knowing that Tim looks for the true chemistry of how plants come together and work with each other and the birds/insects that will no doubt benefit as well.
>
> Tim did a full design for our whole lot, and then also worked with us to figure out how we could do things in installments too. In the end we installed some great stone, small front patio and the curb appeal is AWESOME. Our neighbors and sidewalk walkers always give us compliments on the garden and it was all thanks to Tim! Thanks Tim!

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Eric for having us create a naturalist front yard garden for you.
> Tim

**★★★★★ — Susan Jones, Dec. 2019**

> When we bought our 90 year old Tudor house, we knew we would need a complete rehab of the landscaping. I interviewed a number of landscapers and they were fine, but I knew immediately that Tim really understood what I wanted. The plan he presented us was almost a work of art in itself. Tim had incorporated all my ideas and favorite plants, but he also pushed me to be more adventurous—and in every case, Tim was right. The installation went smoothly and was done in good time, so that we got almost a whole summer’s growth. You would never suspect this was a new garden. Can’t wait til next spring.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Susan, I look forward to seeing the garden come spring.

**★★★★ — Roxanne Franzen, May 2019**

> Last Fall I hired Stonepocket to prepare ground, plant hydrangea shrubs and grass seed in a area that we had 3 evergreen trees removed. Two hours after they laid the grass seed it rained heavily and most of the grass seed washed away so I had to reseed in the spring. The shrubs survived the winter and have sprouted leaves. Hoping that they will bloom.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you for your review, sorry that the seed washed away. That was a heavy rain which was unfortunate.
> Tim Heelan, President of Stonepocket, Inc.

**★★★★★ — User, Dec. 2018**

> Tim designed a beautiful garden plan for us. He is very knowledgeable about native plants and has an artist's eye for combining textures and colors in the garden. He drew a detailed plan and provided information on all the plants. Tim was very responsive to the limitations of our yard and was wonderful to work with. I have already recommended Stonepocket to my friends and neighbors.

**★★★★★ — Peg Berlin, Dec. 2018**

> Tim is very creative and his designs are cutting edge so he is keeping up with current trends. He was flexible with his plan to conform to out budget and willing to incorporate our ideas. Our project spans the fall of 2018 and spring of 2019 so photos at this mid-project time would not define the final aesthetic.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Peg, looking forward to working on your project again in the spring.

**★★★★★ — Jeninne McGee, Dec. 2018**

> Tim completed 3 projects for me over 3 summers, finishing in the fall of 2018. It was a total transformation of my yard. The project required a lot of terracing and retaining walls because I live atop a steep hill. It also required new deck, 2 patios, and back stoop. The amount of planning and planting was enormous. I looked for 3 things from Tim, design skill, knowledge of plants, trees and materials, and project management. He is a stellar designer, creative and resourceful. He had great ideas for plants and trees that would work in my design. He is an unflappably good natured project manager. There were many challenges as expected on such a large project. I always felt Tim wanted to work things out in a way that satisfied his client. The last thing I thought was impressive was how response he is and how accountable he is for his work. I felt like he was working on his own yard.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Jeninne for the review. Great photos. Excited to see everything come spring.

**★★★★★ — Thomas Peroutka, Nov. 2017**

> Stonepocket worked for my brother installing a patio in their backyard along with some plantings so I was able to witness Tim’s work first hand. We hired Tim to refresh some plantings around the house and to add some stone steps on the side of our garage. Throughout the process Tim has come up to great ideas with the layout and plant suggestions that have added more seasonal interest to our gardens. When the plants did not thrive the following season, Tim himself replaced them. We have received many compliments and look forward to working with Tim again on future projects. We would recommend Stonepocket to anyone thinking about a landscaping project.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you for the review, look forward to work with you again.

**★★★★★ — Tom and Jamie Thorfinnson, Nov. 2017**

> We hired Tim originally to do a landscape plan for our entire yard. We fell in love with he vision he had for the back yard and began a project that ended up taking six years to finish. As each phase was completed, we kept expanding the plan and Tim was fantastic in taking our ideas and making them a reality! Tim was very professional and easy to work with. He has an incredible attention to detail and it shows in our finished project. Tim also stands behind his work - we had an issue with some of our bluestone treads on a raised patio and he sent the stone mason to fix them at no charge to us. It's refreshing to find a contractor with that type of customer service! We highly recommend Stonepocket Unique Landscapes if you are looking for a landscaper. We now have a family retreat complete with pool, fireplace, and an outdoor kitchen that will be used for years!

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Tom and Jamie. Glad that you have been enjoying your backyard with you family and friends.

**★★★★★ — Michelle Schooff, Nov. 2017**

> During our home remodel our contractor found Tim of Stonepocket at the Minneapolis Home and Garden show and thought his design aesthetics would blend well with our own. We could not have been more pleased with the end result of Tim’s design that included a modern design of gabion and concrete walls, a steel pergola, and concrete patio with interspersed plantings. Tim is a great designer and was willing to produce a plan so that local contractors do the installation. Even though Tim was not involved in the installation of the design he continues to inquire about progress and if we have any questions. We have greatly appreciated Tim’s creativity and dedication to his craft.

**★★★★★ — Gary & Sarah Kiecker, Nov. 2017**

> Stonepocket has worked for a few of our neighbors over the years so we have been able to see Tim’s work first hand - very high quality and interesting designs. We hired Tim to install a patio, steps, and plantings in our backyard. Throughout the process Tim listened to our ideas and concerns, adjusting the design to meet our vision without sacrificing the overall scope of the project. The project started the fall of 2016 and was mostly completed but the stone subcontractor was busy so the patio installation and additional planting were installed the following spring. Tim clearly explained this delay and having the quality and craftsmanship of this stonemason would be worth the wait. The project was completed the beginning of the following spring and we could not be more pleased and have received many complements. Tim is a very talented designer and incorporated many great plant colors and textures. The subcontractors were courteous, highly skilled, and left the site clean each day. We are looking forward to working with Tim again this upcoming season for our front yard.

**★★★★★ — Carrie & Chris Case, Nov. 2017**

> Stonepocket was referred by a neighbor so we were able to see Tim’s creative work firsthand. We wanted to utilize our backyard more and to make it more functional. The most challenging technical piece was adding lighting to an under-deck system; in the end we found a solution. We really enjoy the grilling area with the bluestone buffet and reclaimed wood support beam. Stonepocket envisioned and created a unique space for our family and we would recommend Tim and his team. Tim is a great guy, pleasant to work with and continues to check on the landscape to ensure everything is still looking as good as it was when first installed.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you Chris and Carrie, glad that you are enjoying your outdoor space.

**★★★★★ — Jane Fournier, Nov. 2017**

> In 2012, we hired Tim with Stonepocket Unique Landscape to solve some issues in our back yard. Over many years, the once sunny area had become shady, rain kept washing away topsoil, and grass would no longer grow.Tim listened respectfully as we discussed the challenges our back yard presented. He came up with a solution for erosion, and a great design, with specific planting suggestions. His estimate was very reasonable. His subcontractor reworked the whole area and prepared it for planting. We planted according to Tim's guidelines, and have been very pleased with the results. What was once a discouraging expanse of barren ground has become a lovely, peaceful retreat.
>
> This summer, we hired Tim and his crew again to address the front yard. Our overgrown Arbor Vitae shrubs dominated two thirds of the area in front of the house. Our dryer vent had dried out the shrubs in other third. Once again, Tim listened to our ideas, shared his expertise, and created a landscape design that would enhance the house and thrive in spite of the dryer vent. The same subcontractor who worked on the back yard returned with another team member. The two of them worked at an amazing pace to prepare the area, and plant new shrubs and perennials. Their greatest challenge was installing a very large rock to block the dryer vent from damaging the plants. They were patient enough to return a few weeks later and move the rock so it would block the vent better. We are delighted with the transformation in our front yard. It looks attractive and balanced. The plants are thriving, and we enjoy relaxing on the front porch, taking it all in.

> One of the most appealing elements of working with Tim of Stonepocket is that he is kind and respectful. Although he is a very creative expert in his field, he is a good listener, open to collaborative solutions. I would not hesitate to call on him again for landscape projects in the future.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful words. It really has been a pleasure working with you over the years.

**★★★★★ — Robin Krier, Nov. 2017**

> We recently moved into this home and the landscape needed a lot of attention, especially the abandoned water feature. We hired Tim of Stonepocket to design various areas of the property; patio off the deck, front woodlands with steps down to the lake, recreational fire-pit, and plantings along the deck. Tim’s knowledge and network of artisans truly made this space one of a kind. The gas fire-pit, air conditioner and gas line screens, and path lights were all made by local individuals. Every attention to detail was greatly appreciated and anything that needed attention was dealt with in a timely manner. We look forward to working with Tim and his team on future projects.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank for you kind words, look forward to working with you again on future projects.

> They did a great job. The most important thing was being able to solve the problem we had, execute on it quickly. Very professional, and well done.

**Comment from Stonepocket Unique Landscapes:**

> Thank you for the review. Glad the fire-pit is now in working order.

**★★★★★ — Stephen Heuer, Sept. 2016**

> Tim was very friendly and professional. When we first came to him we weren't entirely sure what we wanted to do with our front yard. We knew we needed to regrade it away from the house and that we wanted less lawn, but as far as landscape design and plants we didn't know where to start. He walked us through the entire process and worked with us to identify what kinds of plants we were most likely to want. He provided us with very detailed plans and detailed information on the plants he had chosen. The speed and quality of the actual work was phenomenal. Everyone in our neighborhood has commented on how good it looks. We would highly recommend Stonepocket.

**★★★★★ — Jennifer Glenn, Sept. 2016**

> Tim has done a number of landscape projects for us. He has done driveway projects, landscape for a new perennial garden (and removal of the old), landscape for a raised vegetable garden, hot tub patio (pictures attached), beach retaining walls, and more. He is extremely professional and such a pleasure to work with. He listens to me as a customer but also recommends idea of his own (which I normally go with!). He designs the plans but also oversees the work being done and if there are any issues, he addresses them quickly. We have been extremely happy with his work and highly recommend him.

**★★★★★ — American Lawn Care, July 2016**

> Great company with attention to detail like no other. Friendly and honest. Really was a pleasure to work along side.

**★★★★★ — lorijonason, Oct. 2015**

> Tim was very pleasant to work with, as were the contractors who came out to do the work. He worked within my budget, made great suggestions, was willing to re-work based on my feedback, he created a unique design for my neighborhood. Neighbors stop when I am out and comment on how nice the landscaping has turned out. The work was done on schedule. Each day the work crew came out I came home to a raked lawn, clean sidewalks, essentially no mess from their day of work, which I really appreciated. I look forward to next summer and the ability to see the contrasting leaves and colors and sizes of the plants throughout the next growing season. I also look forward to the relatively low maintenance selection of plantings.

**★★★★★ — St. Croix Exteriors & Remodeling, May 2015**

> a true professional. Well organized design professional with the utmost standards. Will gladly work with Tim again. We had a great time working on such a unique project.

> We have been working with Tim from Stonepocket for the past several years. He listens carefully to our ideas and then adds creative ideas of his own. He develops a complete drawing of the project before beginning any work. His staff has been competent and respectful. The completed projects have been of high standard. I would recommend Stonepocket Landscaping for any projects large or small and would definitely encourage family and friends to consider Stonepocket for their next landscaping project.

> I've been doing business with Stonepocket for over 5 years. They are a very professional company, they do nothing but quality work and they maintain a relationship with their clients after the job is done. I've not had a bad report on Stonepocket since I first met them. I would strongly recommend Stonepocket to any of my clients.
> Tim does an outstanding job of designing outdoor environments for his clients. In some cases I do work at his projects before the landscaping, etc, is complete and I always want to go back and see the finished product because it is always something new, different and elegant.
> You will not be disappointed with the work this company, Stonepocket Unique Landscapes, will do for you.

> I needed my 8year old front berm expanded and 're-done' and chose Tim Heelan of Stonepocet, Inc. for many reasons. His design was very creative, he worked within our budget, he was prompt at returning calls and most of all was an expert in plant placement and care. He even provided me with a CD on how to care for each plant. I love the fact that he is a small business owner and takes pride in what he does. I would highly recommend him.

**★★★★★ — kbonine, Sept. 2014**

> We wanted a landscaper who was not only willing to take the time to do good work but who would also be willing to take the time to educate his customer. Tim did just that, from beginning to end. We gave him ideas of what we were looking for and let him take it from there. We worked together on identifying plants that we did and did not want to see in our garden and he helped us understand how to care for them during all four seasons. Tim is a real pleasure to work with, extremely knowledgable, and has a very creative mind. We definitely plan to have Tim back for more work. We highly recommend him for your project, whether it is big or small!

> We were looking for a “one stop shop” to design and execute a natural-looking barrier between our yard and our neighbor’s. Stonepocket drew up a detailed plan and did all of the landscape work to create a barrier area that looks as beautiful in our yard as it does in our neighbor’s. The finished work both blends with our existing landscaping and elevates the look of our yard. Thank you Tim and Stonepocket!

**★★★★★ — davidf, March 2014**

> Stonepocket came highly recommended and Tim's work is fabulous. He took our small lake home and created a beautiful landscape space separating us from our close neighbors. He has great taste and ideas and was easy to work with. He has come through every time with a great solution.

**★★★★★ — wallstreetjourna, March 2014**

> Tim designed and installed a complete landscape plan for the front yard of our custom designed home. We went with Stonepocket after talking to several designers. We were very impressed with Tim's unique design sense and liked him as a person. He listened to what we wanted and came up with a great design that fit within our budget. The project was well organized and there was good communication throughout. The guys on Tim's installation team did a great job and were very respectful of our property. We are very pleased with the end result, which includes custom stonework as well as plantings. Tim also stays in touch after the project is complete, with yearly followups. I would not hesitate to hire Stonepocket again.

**★★★★★ — User, March 2014**

> Stonepocket provided a comprehensive landscape design for our entire property. Initially, we met with Stonepocket because they are a firm that would provide a plan, but not require that they do the actual work. We did purchase just the plan with the goal to implement the project in phases, which has worked beautifully. Tim Heelan met with us to discuss our ideas, objectives and concerns and then brought us a design that incorporated all we had discussed, along with some great surprises. Tim's detailed plan included drawings with all items clearly labeled, along with a CD containing plant information. Something I really appreciate about Tim's plant selections is that they are hardy for our climate and readily available at local nurseries. We are really enjoying the transformation taking place around our home and receive a lot of compliments from guests.

**★★★★★ — mohrvic, March 2014**

> Tim is fantastic to work with. He took the time to understand our style and to incorporate our ideas/materials into the design. The results were beautiful and Tim continues to check in on the project over a year after completion. Would highly recommend Stonepocket.

> Redesigned back yard landscape, lounging and gathering (firepit) areas. Stonepocket used unique ideas to save and use some existing hardscape and work it into an updated plan that saved some money, but gave us a very new looking yard.
> We will work with Stonepocket again for other projects.

> We first met Tim from Stonepocket at the Minneapolis Home & Garden Show. We were able to compare many companies at the same time and the Stonepocket booth stood out from the crowd right from start. It was clear that Tim had a passion and a depth of knowledge about unique plants and landscape designs that representatives from the other booths simply could not match. Our goal was to find someone who could bring to life our vision of an English country garden and make it happen in Minnesota. He succeeded.
>
> We wanted color and flowers, actually lots of flowers, but we also wanted a flow to the garden, something you could stroll through and admire, we wanted interest all year and we absolutely wanted plants that were unique, different and impossible to find at the big box stores. Tim delivered.
>
> He worked closely with us during the design, he listened to our ideas, he gave us many of his own to consider and we spent a long time walking the yard and discussing options and possibilities. We had something of a rare request of a landscaper these days; we wanted a working garden, something that he would help start but was not complete, something that we could enjoy, build on and shape for many years to come. He did not disappoint.
>
> We put in close to 500 plants all of which completed each other and many of which were unique in our neighborhood or completely new varieties released that year. We precisely placed handpicked boulders for a unique flower bed to lawn transition effect and to top it off we also created an exceptional bluestone patio surrounded by gorgeous planting. Stonepocket brought our vision to life.
>
> Tim from Stonepocket gets an unconditional recommendation and endorsement from two British citizens that wanted to create a little bit of home in NW Minneapolis. He was fantastic to work with during the project and has been a regular visitor since. Our neighbors love our yard and almost everyone who walks past stops and admires the view and many will ask about the flowers and plants that they have never seen before. Stonepocket gave us the ultimate start to our new hobby.
>
> Key Attributes:
> 1\. Full engagement throughout the project and beyond
> 2\. Listens to, adapts and improves on customers initial vision
> 3\. Understands plants and how to make the most of soft and hard landscaping situations
> 4\. Unique designs
> 5\. Vision and insight into how his landscape design will mature and evolve over time

> I hired Tim (Stonepocket) to perform a complete re-landscaping of our front, sides and back. I spoke to four other companies, and Tim was hands down the strongest candidate - he presented a thoughtful, thorough, detailed (not to mention beautiful) proposal and was completely receptive to feedback and tailoring per our wishes. The project turned out wonderfully and we continue to work with Tim to tweak small items and make updates. He stands behind his warranties, and is simply a pleasure to work with. The only issue is getting on his schedule! He is a busy man and rightly so - He does great work.

**★★★★★ — davet66, Feb. 2014**

> We highly recommend considering Stonepocket for your next project. Tim was most helpful and creative in designing a landscape theme for our home. We have receied many compliments from neighbors and friends on the way it turned out, we couldn't be more pleased.

**★★★★★ — Steve Rosenberg, Feb. 2014**

> Tim did an awesome job at our house. The stone walkway is gorgeous and the landscaping around it is beautiful. All the plants and workmanship is warranted and Tim takes care of minor problems immediately.
>

**★★★★★ — Mickey Esmond, Feb. 2014**

> The first time we hired Stone Pocket was approx 10 years ago, Tim redesigned our front yard and did a beautiful job, we went from a very basic few shrubs around the house to a much more aesthetically appealing and updated appearance. The second project was approx 8 years ago, next we tackled the backyard, the kids were grown and we no longer needed the swing set and sandbox ect. anymore, again, an amazing transformation! Since then we have hired Tim several times to comeback and just help us select a few new plants to add in to our original design. Our most recent project was last summer we had an old overgrown evergreen removed and needed help once again in figuring out what to do with the space that was created after the tree came out. I cant say enough about what a great experience it has been working with Stone Pocket they are your solution to any landscaping project large or small. Our neighbors that drive by tell us we have the nicest landscaping on the block.

> We are thoroughly pleased with Stonepocket. Tim Heelan has been fantastic. He combines creativity, listening, patience and delivery, all in ample amounts. All subcontractors have been first rate. His work shows that he cares about the product delivered and is appropriately focused on cost of delivery. He is knowledgable about planting options in challenging conditions. We intend to complete our project in the spring (weather ended our progress in 2013) and are looking forward to working with Tim to completion. We would highly recommend him to others.

**★★★★★ — User, Feb. 2014**

> Tim Heelen of Stonepocket is an absolutely wonderful company to work with. his design included all our wishes and needs and included creative ideas from him. The implementation was impeccable and Tim continues to answer our questions concerning care and upkeep of the garden since the project!

**★★★★★ — rmalmin, Feb. 2014**

> We hired Tim Heelan to create a landscape design for our yard. He worked with us to make a plan that created spaces for entertainment, kid activities, bird attraction, and privacy. We had a tight budget so Tim broke down every part of the plan so we could figure out what we could do ourselves, and what difficult jobs we wanted to leave for Tim. We did a lot of the landscaping ourselves, and had Tim install a beautiful patio and plant the big heavy trees. Tim layed out plywood on the grass before driving any equipment on the lawn to minimize damage. Also, for the patio, he used welded metal forms instead of plastic for a longer lasting patio. Our neighbors commented how much attention he paid to walking around the house to make sure the job looked good from every angle. Tim took pride in his work and helped us create a beauitul yard within budget.

**★★★★★ — User, Feb. 2014**

> Stonepocket built an old English style stone wall on the front and side of our property, replacing a very steep hill and an older falling down limestone wall. They used all natural stone, with a number of different varieties mixed, and did an excellent job. The workers were very good craftsmen. We get compliments on the wall all the time. They did the work quickly and on budget. We are very pleased and would recommend Stonepocket and would use them again (in fact, we are planning on replacing an old fence and intend to use them for that project as well).

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the plant you used as edging?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm not a fan of the traditional boxwood hedge for edging either and would like to hear any ideas for alternatives. Thank you in advance.

A: Thank you for reaching out. The shrub that lines the walk is a Symphoricarpos (Snowberry). I do not remember the cultivar but they grow 30" H x 36" W and have either white or pink berries.

**Q: Love the interlock pavers! Can you share the brand and colour.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Thanks for your time!

A: Patio is full color bluestone that was installed with chamfer edges and cut to a tight fit.
Tim Heelan, Stonepocket

**Q: How tall is the fireplace?** *(in Photo Questions)*

**Q: granite color** *(in Photo Questions)*

love the granite. would you please share the color/ source?
Thanks so much.

A: Granite is from the East Coast and was supplied by Orijin Stone located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

**Q: what is the railing on the deck and how is it attached to main posts?** *(in Photo Questions)*

looks awesome, can you give details for above questions?

A: The home was constructed with the deck and railing so I do not have any information of the railing. I only designed and installed the landscape.
