> It's amusing for me to think back on the day I first met with Thomas this past year to discuss my project and imagine how he kept a straight face. I had a vision...complete with my own scrapbook of sorts, made up of drawings on graph paper, cut-outs, articles and doodles. Nevertheless, Tom patiently managed my ideas and expectations and we arrived at a place in the end that found our project nothing short of perfection for us. Katherine (their partnering landscape architect from yourspacebydesign.com) took my collection of ideas and conceptualized a plan that exactly reflected what I was trying to create.
> The summer was filled with challenges; the weather seemed to be holding a personal grudge against the Oasis crew. Tornado? Check. Flooding? Check. Calf-high mud pit? Check. Despite these obstacles (oh, and the massive chunks of concrete we discovered as the yard was dug up), the end result has brought big smiles to our faces. This job include all new plant beds, new sod, gorgeous cedar fencing around the entire property, a new patio and "dock-deck', container planters and chill-out areas. Photos will have to wait until the spring as things bloom again, as fall photos just wouldn't do it justice.

They were hired to come up with a design, redesign my garden beds, lay concrete edging, plant new plants, spray mulch, remove trees, trim and reshape remaining trees, remove existing deck and most impressive; design and build a new deck to take advantage of a spectacular view from my back yard.

How did you, or the owner, get permission to build a fence that high when the bylaw is max 6.5 feet?
