The pre-sales care is excellent, but the post-sales customer service was very variable, sometimes good but sometimes frustrating for both me and my builder. I decided on Linwood Custom Homes due to their entire design, materials, support and build process. I am very happy with the entire process. Spending he quality time, not being rushed on the Design - modifying the design to suite our needs and not a designer ideas. The materials used where 1st rate - the lumber quality could not be matched locally. My carpenters could not believe how straight the lumber was and how little waste we had. The project was not with out a few glitches, but Linwood was there to fix them and provided what ever support we needed, either in the design/engineering or in understanding the plans. You will receive some incredibly detailed drawings and any support you may need - only a phone call away. We now have a finished product that is very unusual to my area, but built very well of the highest quality materials and one of the most talked about houses in the area. I would highly recommend them and their process. I do think having the right designer, a person who listens to your needs, is experienced in the building process as well as Linwood's process is essential at being completely satisfied. And lastly, making sure you have the right builder, if you can not find a Linwood Dealer/Builder in your area, then finding a builder who is flexible, open minded and can be a problem solver. They were great to work with BEFORE the sale, but have been VERY disappointing after the sale. So much so that 10 years later we approached Craig and Mike about building a home for us in the Yukon. Once again Craig worked with us to create a floor plan, even flying to the Yukon to look at the site so he could provide guidance to best optimize our situation. Linwood's care and attention doesn't end once the package is delivered. Craig and his staff offered assistance to the local carpenters doing the build, and Mike flew to the Yukon to guide them through a more critical stage of the project to ensure everything went well. Once again, we were extremely pleased with the outcome of this second project with Linwood. So logically, when we found ourselves wanting to renovate and add on to the cottage we had originally built with Linwood, who better to turn to than Craig and Mike. It was a daunting task and each stakeholder had a part of the solution, but no one seemed to be able to offer a complete package.
