Gerry will act as project manager, he put together both a budget (which was met) and a timeline (which was followed precisely) finishing the project both on schedule and at budget. Sean, his son, did an excellent job putting the project in motion/coordinating with the building team and dealing with my daily questions and tweaks - using high quality materials and craftsmanship. For example they built beautiful custom shelving underneath our steps straight out of a magazine picture we showed them, no questions asked. The materials they used were above standard "builder grade", leaving the basement with an extra nice finish and feel. One of the most important parts of the project was making sure my family was comfortable with the workers who would be there day after day for 3 months - and Dougherty did an excellent job not waking children or inconveniencing them in any way. You get what you pay for, and Dougherty delivered an A+ result. They did everything needed to complete the project while staying within the contract budget.
