I started NePalo Cabinetmakers in 2002. Fine woodworking had been a hobby of mine for a long time, but by profession, I was trained as an engineer and received my MBA from UT Austin. With this background, I spent several years working as a banker, a consultant, a production manager, and a software designer. My heart, however, has always gravitated toward building beautiful things. Taking stock of our life, one day my wife suggested I take a chance and pursue my real passion — woodworking. We embraced the change in lifestyle and with the support of family and friends I began this journey with the hope of building a business that would incorporate both my engineering skills with my artistic vision. I moved my workshop out of my garage and into a large industrial space in San Rafael, California. With 3,000 square feet, I have been able to combine the use of classic hand tools with state of the art modern woodworking machinery. Over the years, I have met amazing people, made countless clients very happy, and continued to grow and develop both my craft and business. Currently, I am dabbling in the art of building hand-crafted acoustic guitars.
