> Sharp s a small family- owned business that specializes in refinishing porcelain fixtures.  I had a 60-year old cast iron bathtub in a very outdated color.  Rather than remove it, I had it refinished.  The color matching to the other fixtures was exact.  The work was done on time, the workers were clean and courteous, and I am pretty happy with the product.

> The only drawback is that resurfacing isn't the best option in a heavily used bath.  Twice, I've had nicks in the surface due to dropped metals ... Once a shower curtain rod, and once a can of shaving cream.  The nicks can and should be repaired (for a price), but it is kind of a hassle reminding kids and cleaning people to be careful with a bathtub.  Also, I used to bathe my dog in that tub, but it would be scratched if I did it now.
