Several workmanship and finish-quality issues arose during the project, and multiple items required attention near the end. > > We completed a walkthrough, paid the full balance, and the county issued the Certificate of Occupancy. Upon agreeing to work, was informed most important part of the work couldn't start for over 1.5 months; which would seriously delay property listing, and I requested that scope be removed. Remaining scope took over 3 weeks to complete. During that time, company argued that installation of one closet door and the adjustment of the front door and installation of its trim was going to cost an additional $1,050 over the already high price. These additional funds were requested despite there being no change in scope of work for either door. Because of my project management experience, I was able to argue that work be performed at original cost, but had I been someone without experience they would have simply been paid undue funds. Several small scopes of work that were requested during original estimate were not included in detailed proposal (my fault for not properly reviewing each line item). Company required payment for full day of work for one painter despite scope taking only a couple of hours. No tape/not enough tape was used during painting resulting in paint on floors, light switches (no outlet or light switch covers were removed during painting), counter tops, and multiple other locations. **Comment from JMR Home Services:** > Thank you for your honest and detailed feedback. > > First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for the frustrations and delays you experienced during your project. After a lot of research I chose JMR Home Services. They took out the walls, vaulted the ceiling to match the dining room, and it looks fantastic. The upstairs is now open and feels huge. Next, I wanted to renovate the kitchen area and again chose JMR. New cabinet doors and drawers with soft close hardware, new countertops, sink, faucet, and a wine fridge.
