**★★★★★ — TOTAL CONCEPTS, May 2017**

> Robert Gregory has been a colleague of Total Concepts in the building industry for the past 21 years. As a person and a professional he is exemplary. He is indeed a skilled craftsman in creative and intuitive design. He is an easy collaborator and eagerly receives input from clients and other professional alike. It is always a pleasure to work with Robert.

**★★★★★ — Lawrence Fairchild, May 2017**

> Robert Gregory is one of the most talented and creative architects for cutting edge modern design concepts, open space - spectacular visual design, with extreme attention to detail, including layout, lighting, and art enhanced design. Truly a talent not to be overlooked for the NEXT level of modern architecture & design.

**★★★★★ — Diana Hartford, May 2017**

> Robert is an incredibly talented architect. His ability to take your vision and enhance it in ways you never thought possible is rare and exceptional. He is passionate about the details, and it's those little details that take design from good to great. Even more important, Robert is a collaborator. If you want to add or change something, he makes it work and typically builds on the idea to make it enhance the space while maintaining functionality. The reaction I've had to the finished project is overwhelmingly positive. The home integrates indoor and outdoor spaces, creating wonderful areas for gatherings and connection while optimizibg the view of the vineyards surrounding the property. I would definitely recommend Robert!

**★★★★★ — User, July 2016**

> We are working on a very complex project that includes a complete gut job of our flat and a new façade for our 106 year old Victorian. Bob did an outstanding job of listening to our goals and came up with a very creative floor plan to meet our needs. He is the consummate professional in that he is courteous, thoughtful, and consistently met tough deadlines. Plus he is a pleasure to work with. I couldn't recommend him enough.

**★★★★★ — kencco, July 2016**

> I hired RGA for a guest house in Montana \[on this site\]. They did a fabulous job turning my tear-sheet ideas into a beautiful structure. I am now \[7/16\] working with them in creating the main house. It is going to be extraordinary. RGA creativity is matched by their attention to detail and responsiveness to the many small but important issues that arise during the building process.

 - Location: Saint Helena, CA
 - Photos: 13
 - Description: This residence in the Napa Valley is contemporary and yet has rustic contrasting wood throughout the residence to give it a more "Rustic Modern" look. Along with the corrugated steel awnings, this design direction is a way to integrate a modern residence into an agricultural design influenced area.

 - Location: Angwin, CA
 - Photos: 15

The two buildings in composition make up a creative solution to a residence without building the future main residence. One is inspired to be a wood barn look and the other, the master bedroom/library is a stone cottage look.

## Community Q&A

**Q: outside material** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love this guest house! Wondering what the exterior material is?

A: The exterior is a standard stucco finish with a cement color.

**Q: Doors and Windows -** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love these doors and windows! Can you tell me more about them? Are they steel-framed? Who is the manufacturer? Thanks!

A: Hello, thanks for the inquiry about the steel doors and windows. They are "Torrance" brand. I would love to use steel windows more often because they are very fitting with the industrial look. There are a number of steel window and door companies and can be found on the internet. The overall cost is generally twice other products.

**Q: Range hood** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is the range hood custom? Can you share the source? Thanks.

A: The range hood was custom designed by myself. We wrapped a range hood insert.

**Q: Wall paint color** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello, would you mind sharing the paint color that was used on the interior walls? Thank you in advance!

A: Hello Jill, I'm sorry I don't know. The Interior Designer is Ohlen Designs in SF. We used quite a lot of steel so I imagine a slightly greyed white was used. Colors on walls change with the time of day and what outside is reflecting the light. It's a talent that is accumulated with time.

**Q: Square footage** *(in Photo Questions)*

Do you mind sharing the square footage? Great project.

A: 1200 sq.ft. It is considered a "Second Unit" in Napa County. 1200 sq.ft. is max. is allowed.

**Q: Flooring.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Was wondering what type of flooring was used here. Thanks so much.

A: Pays to keep your email forever. The Flooring:
Monarch Collection
European Oak
8" x 3/4" - TR \#1, Natural, Light Wire Brush
