A designer's success is not defined by a colorful website, catalogue of photos, fancy awards, or a higher education. It is about building relationships. While the former looks good on a resume, the latter is what people will remember. After all, designing a home is not just about the house itself, but the people who live in them. At ArchiMatrix, we pride ourselves on getting to know each and every client before we ever put a pencil to paper. A home is about you, your dreams, your lifestyle, your memories, your legacy.

We are a DFW based design firm, building relationships and designing satisfied customers' homes for over 15 years. From classic, to modern. European to eclectic. Craftsman to country. If you can dream it, we can design it. Give us a call for a free consultation. We would love to get to know you.

> My wife and I recently had a 3,000 sq ft sprawling ranch designed by Mark (president of ArchiMatrix). His initial design was excellent, very unique and incorporated all the design elements we requested. What was just as impressive was his willingness and creativity through numerous rounds of changes we had him make. If we ever build another home we will definitely use Mark again. Highly recommended!

> Although our home building project is not off the ground yet, Mark was able to provide us with great guidance and in the end a great plan that we are now able to move forward with. We ran into several complications that led us to some serious design changes and Mark was patient and efficient in working through our issues.

**★★★★★ — Mason Randall, Sept. 2020**

> The only thing that I am upset about is the fact that I am limited to 5 stars on this review. Our experience was stellar, painless, and fantastically professional. The service we got was rock solid and it made the whole process a lot less painful for us. We would use them again in a heartbeat and I have already recommended them to others.

**★★★★★ — Covenant Signature Homes, Sept. 2020**

> We have had the honor of working with Mark on multiple projects, and it's always a great experience. He has lots of creative ideas, and has a way of making things work when clients have some rather unique requests in their projects. Very knowledgeable of current codes and building practices which makes our jobs go smoother. We highly recommend Archimatrix for your architectural needs.

**★★★★★ — Laura Gillespie, Sept. 2020**

> Working with Mark was a great experience. He was very patient and calming when we felt overwhelmed by the scope of our new home design. He was able to accommodate our schedules with evening appointments, and even made meeting via zoom easy and understandable once the pandemic began. Highly recommend.

**Comment from ArchiMatrix:**

> Thank you, Laura! Good luck with your new dream home!

**★★★★★ — Timothy Schwartz, Sept. 2020**

> I wanted to take a moment to thank Mark Moore, ArchiMatrix, for taking our vision of a home and working to create an even better home to fit both our desires and needs. This was the third house my husband and I had built and Mark was the most creative designer we have encountered. Our home was very different from our other homes. Mark was definitely a designer that listened to our ideas. If looking for a building designer who behaves as a professional should, I would definitely recommend Mark Moore.

**★★★★★ — Scottie Smith, Dec. 2016**

> For those considering Mark as their building designer, I can tell you he has designed two homes for Kim and I with tremendous success. The first home was just over 4,000 sq. ft. and the second home was just over 5,200 sq. ft. We were introduced to Mark through a friend. We met with Mark and he suggested we look at some of his designs and some of the homes that were actually in the building process. We came to Mark with some ideas of what we would like and he put them on paper for us. He not only was very responsive to our requests, but he made numerous suggestions on how we could use additional space. One example of this, we turned closed off space in between walls (pockets) into built in book shelves. Another of example, after designing the home we walked the property with Mark and he showed us where the house would be and the layout before we started building. Mark then made the suggestion based on a nearby creek and trees to save some trees on the property. Mark rework the plan which had a large master bath in the back of the home to the front side of the master bedroom which did not change the facing of the home but saved the trees in the back. My wife loved it. Mark is honest, hard-working and has wonderful ideas. I will be using Mark to help design my final home.

**Comment from ArchiMatrix:**

> Thank you, Ron. Your houses turned out great It was great doing business with you.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Do you have any more photos of this home?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I don't, but I live near by. If need be, I can go by this week and take a few more.

**Q: I love the roof!** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the make and color of the roof?!

A: Hey Andrea! I don't know. I was the building designer on the price that, not the builder. So I didn't have any input in the materials. Sorry.

**Q: Calling all Fantasy Brown Owners!** *(in Kitchens)*

Like everyone else out there it seems, I had been searching for a light grey or whitish granite with the look of a marble or quartzite. Nothing had been making my heart sing. I found a gorgeous slab of Fantasy Brown that is a bit different than what I was originally going for, but is gorgeous nonetheless. If I select it I will pair it with white cabinets and silver crackle tile. This particular slab comes in an antique finish -- the sheen is closer to eggshell than gloss, and the texture is not as aggressive as the leathered finishes that I felt in the stone yard. The yard had it labeled as a granite, but I have seen it listed as both a quartzite and marble on the web.
The yard didn't have any samples of it when I visited, so I will be contacting the fabricator to see if I can get some to test. So for the fantasy brown owners out there -- how is it holding up? Is the etching horrible? Scratching? Chips? Dents? I am reasonably careful in the kitchen, but I cook regularly and have kids, so I need to be realistic. I am hoping that the slight color and texture variations in this stone would hide more abuse than something like a white marble or superwhite.

A: I picked out fantasy brown the other day and I asked him why they called it fantasy brown when it didn't have any brown in it.
