Along with our construction company Insite Construction Inc, we carry this design-build philosophy through the construction process. We know that architecture is richly varied, and is designed to satisfy a multitude of needs, but we believe the following are always true: 1\. Architecture is site specific. 2\. Architecture is client specific. 3\. Architecture is expressed through the honest and creative use of materials. We apply these principles to all of our projects, whether large or small, commercial or residential. Brya and his firm have maintained a critical design practice that strives to create place specific projects uniquely suited to their clients’ needs. His work is a continuing investigation in the ways of building, and the ability to create meaningful spaces through tectonic manipulations. Brya has been a builder since 1995 as well, giving us an opportunity to carry the design ethos of a project through to the smallest details. The rigorous, careful detailing of the work has helped Brya be recognized with several AIA awards. In addition to his work in practice, Brya has taught at the University of Washington and is currently a member of the faculty at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design at the University of Arkansas. He has served as the Design Awards Chair for AIA Arkansas, and has served on design awards juries for AIA Nebraska, AIA Middle Tennessee, and AIA Central States region. I'm very happy to have worked with them. Rich was very responsive to my wishes and the house fits us perfectly. Rich is great to work with, transparent about costs, and I love the design. My house is full of light, yet energy efficient. Sun comes in for thermal heating in the winter but not in the summer. My utility bills are lower than in my old house, although the square footage is larger. > The house is solidly built, and after 5 years, I've had no problems.
