**Q: Outside orchids in Ontario** *(in Orchids)*

Hello I am relatively new to orchids. I have been growing phals for about a year now and only started growing other types of orchids for about 6 months. I am doing great with the phals - they are all growing great and are spiking regularly.
Throughout the school year I was away in residence where the light levels were relatively low. Now that I'm back at home in Sudbury (in northern Ontario), I have access to more varied light levels.
I was thinking about putting some of my non-phal/higher light orchids out on my back deck throughout the day (temperature permitting) so they could get some higher light and hopefully throw out a spike.
The orchids I'm thinking of putting outside are

Onc - sweet sugar

Onc - sherry baby

Dend - sweet memory (noble type)

Bllra - peggy ruth carpenter

Catt - Stunner (it's a mini catt)
Because I have never put orchids outside in such bright light I have no idea which orchids can take more light than the other, and If any of them can take full sun. The deck has the potential for all day direct sun. I can make a shade tent out of old bed sheets for the orchids that might need lower light levels.
Can any of my orchids take direct sun throughout the day?

Which ones would need to be under a shade cloth?

Is what I'm planning on doing crazy?

A: Hi there, I think most Orchid will do good outside, because Orchid they grow very well on the tree, I always keep them inside, but this year I am planning to tide them up with my willow tree where shed is 50-50 but sunlight will be there, they have to adopt the outside temperature, let see it will be my new experiment this year, when winter will come I will see probably I have to cover them, don't know yet. SO good luck with Orchid.
