> I saw some paintings that Kandy Cross had done and envisioned her doing a personal painting for me.  We met a few times with my giving her the visions of what I wanted.  Agreeing on the basic concept she agreed to paint for me.  I did not micro-manage her work and let her do her thing with the interpretations that we had discussed about my painting.  The project was a 2'x3' symbolic painting, which turned out to be even more than I had anticipated. I believe her main venue for painting is water colors and scenic views, but she was able to step out of her comfort BOX and create just what I had envisioned.  Because of her vision of what I wanted and the final painting, I have used Kandy Cross to paint various other paintings over the last few years for my home.  The last two painting were using acrylic paints and the results were spectacular.  She is easy to communicate with and easily grasps what you envision for your painting.  I highly recommend her for various other contract paintings.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Bedroom update** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Need help with updating my bedroom!  New lamp? Drapes? Any ideas? Artwork?

A: I like the ideas of relocating the bed and side tables suggested by peaceofmind in the second option.
If you want to continue with the terracotta wall color, I would suggest adding the armoire also shown in
that group of photos. If you would like to follow an Italian theme, and would like a large painting above

The bed and floor rugs could be worked to complement the colors within the focal painting.
