We began speaking with him in November of '22 about building a home. On 12/6/22 we signed his "due diligence" agreement and gave him a check with the understanding that we wanted to start building late March / early April of 2023. Per the document, this money was for a set of buildable plans for the house and a cost estimate. > He gave us samples and met us at a couple places to make some choices about the cabinets and other interior options. We thought things were moving along. Then in late February everything changed. He stopped sending us information and we had to reach out to him multiple times to get very short answers and very little information about when the "Due Dilligence" agreement would be completed. To date we have only recieved e-mailed drawing of the floorplan, elevations and one of the framing plan. > We have nothing that we paid for and he will not return any correspondence. > BUYER BEWARE!!!! It was a big job. He did everything and did it well. Items that he completed were: ceramic floor tile, Granite counter tops kitchen and bathrooms, removal of old wallpaper, repainted walls and ceilings up and downstairs, replumbing of bathroom with new toilets, new carpeting, new roof shingles, etc. There were many little things that he did for my house that were over and above items in the contract. I am more than happy with all the work that he did. If you want contract work done you would do well to consider work from Bob. A: A great carpet installer will stand behind their work. They should be contacted and be back at your home before the weekend to fix. **Q: Looking for classy 36in high seat barstools.** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am in a new home with a 49" custom counter. I am having a very difficult time finding bar stools that are classy with a 36" seat. Who make barstools this high? A: We had the same dilemma as I built a custom bar that fit my standing comfortable which in turn required getting taller stools than normal. barbstory here is a store in St. Louis Barstool Gallery Ltd 5524 S Lindbergh Blvd St Louis, MO 63123 (314) 842-4482 They carry a line of stools from a manufacturer that has the height you are looking for. I forget the name of the line but I know this store offers it. **Q: Tips for Frameless showers** *(in Design Dilemma)* We have a large double shower for which we are shopping for a vendor to do a frameless enclosure on three sides. There is only a small curb 3 inches or so on the three sides and a back wall. I want to ensure I know what to look out for. Thank you in advance. A: Thicker glass. Best hinges. Warranty. Inside of glass can have special coating to help keep clean. Buy a squeegee and use after every shower to help keep the glass pristine. **Q: All new appliances in our kitchen are white. Now need gas range. Mix** *(in Design Dilemma)* Is it ok to buy a stainless range even though the other appliances are white? The cabinets are white also. Pewter hardware, light gray painted walls, installing light gray porcelean tile. Do I have to stick to a white gas range for it to look cohesive? A: Not at all. If cabinets and appliances are all white - a stainless range would look real nice and have a good pop to it. **Q: i need to know what color hardwood goes with dark cupboards** *(in Design Dilemma)* what color hardwood can go with dark cupboards A: Bring some samples home and see what you like the best! **Q: Pool coping** *(in Design Dilemma)* Are there in techniques out there for covering over this coping vs ripping it out and replacing it?
