The color is subtle and looks great. A: The base of the staircase was powder coated custom metal. Thanks! A: This was both aesthetic and functional. This fireplace is set in the wall quite high and to avoid damage from heat rising from the fire, the TV would have had to have been hung far to high to be comfortable.
