> I would highly recommend hiring Debora Kolb for design services.   We purchased a 20 year old home in Naples that had lots of great character but also included many dated features.  Debora was able to make recommendations to changes to the house that would make the most impact with the least investment.   Some examples were removing "plant shelves" throughtout the home to eliminate the dated look and clean up the lines and walls.   She recommended replacing the backsplash in the kitchen and leaving the rest alone since it was only 5 or so years old.  What a different that made.  We removed stone over the fireplace, "bead board" throughout the living room.  We also replaced the light fixtures throughout.   (see before and after photos of the living room below) All in all, these minor differences made a huge impact on the house.   She was able to make recommendations once she understood our tastes.  She did so and provided us with options from which to choose.  We also bounced ideas off of her and she would give honest feedback.   She helped choose paint colors for every room.  Again making suggestions and providing options.  Once the home itself was finished, we moved on to furnishings and bedding.   She was able to work with much of what we already purchased and then create a completely new environment by adding accessories, console tables, pillows, etc.   She even helped with completing the master bedroom bed starting the purchases I made.    She's very creative in all aspects including layout of furniture in rooms that are not easy to figure out due to odd size, lots of windows, etc.   And just as important, she did things quickly and efficiently.   I would highly recommend her.

**Q: Looking for a fire bowl** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I can't seem to find anyone in South Florida that makes a decent concrete fire bowl. So, now looking for a Kadai Bowl or cast iron approx. 36 to 40 inches. Any suggestions?

A: I have not been able to find one either but I continue to search. Please post if you've found one.
