**★★★★★ — Liebert Investment, June 2016**

> We at Liebert Investment Management LLC would highly recommend Ann Henderson Interiors for any interior decorating project. Ann and her staff did a wonderful job helping us redecorate our whole office including, paint, wallpaper, furniture and carpeting. She was very professional and extremely conscientious of our working budget. We continue to consult with Ann from time to time on other small projects around our office. She is a pleasure to work with!

> Anne Henderson has a unique flair for color, style, and room composition. Her spaces have a voice of their own and they are always fresh and compelling. I love her use of unusual, surprising colors that co exist beautifully. Anne is really an artist that uses her talent to transform living spaces into artful, installations that respond to clients' personal needs and styles. I loved working with Anne and would welcome the opportunity to do so again.

**★★★★★ — Christopher Barry \| Architect, May 2016**

> Insightful, would be the first word to come to mind when describing Ms. Henderson. In our work together, Ann has demonstrated exceptional skill in both design and the management of detailed projects. She brings to the table a broad range of experiences and an open willingness to collaborate with the many people involved in a successful design project. Her work is not bound by one particular style but is a reflection of the client's desires. She is able to move beyond current fad to create truly classic designs that will transcend time. Articulate, and a sheer delight to have had the opportunity to work with.

> I hired Ann Henderson over 5 years ago to help with bedroom and living room curtains and was so happy with her selections that we began a five year partnership that has included multiple projects. Her crowning achievement was to take a dark, barely finished basement room and turn it into an amazing nursery. In addition to her incredible talent as a decorator and designer, Ann is upbeat, incredibly hardworking and honest to the core. Can't recommend her highly enough!

**★★★★★ — The Leading Edge Drapery, LLC, May 2016**

> Working with Ann is a joy. She has great attention to detail and creates inspiring designs. Ann adds one of a kind touches to all of her design work. Her eye for timeless design is exceptional. I fully recommend her design firm for interior design projects.

The low ceilings and formal room divisions stifled the sense of togetherness. ## Community Q&A

**Q: Where are the chairs from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We just renovated our kitchen and those chairs would look great at our island. Thank you for your reply.

A: They are COM and custom finish from Woodbridge Furniture. Aren't they fabulous?

**Q: Paint Color** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the color you used on the walls

A: Thanks for the inquiry. It is actually a vinyl grasscloth from Phillip Jeffries wallcovering. If you would like further info on the style and number or to have a sample sent out please let me know. The trim and the ceiling are Ben Moore Cameo White. This very warm white looks great with warm colors which tone down the pink in the white. All Best- Ann

**Q: Need help with the living room... Please help !** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I started off the room with a gray, silver, white theme in mind. But it does seem that I managed to create a drab living room. I currently have the silver circular spokes as an artwork, but I found this new artwork and wanted to see if they work in that space or should I return it. I also tried adding teal pillows to add some color but do they conflict with the pink artwork ?
I also plan to have either a plant or a big vase on the far left as that space seems too empty.

A: I agree on the room layout. You have done a good job but there is too much furniture. I would relocate the chairs and the ottoman in front of the window. You can always pull them in should you need more furniture for entertaining. I think you are on track with a pop of color but the teal is too serious and dark. I really like the pink! It is fun and unexpected. I agree, get the art first and then find the right shades- maybe a subtle gradation of pinks from rosy pales to almost fuscia. Could you paint the coffee table base? To me its gets lost on the rug. I would prefer a more oversized vertical shape for the art above the sofa. Perhaps a triptych design that you could space apart but is still a vertical element? Perhaps a vertical piece flanked by two skinny mirrors of the same framing? Keep it clean and focus on lighting which you will need. Almost there! Good luck!!

**Q: Two different cabinet colors and two different countertop colors?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Would installing two different countertop colors work with an espresso island and eggshell perimeter, or is this too much going on for one room?

A: This is going to be a lovely kitchen. As you know, black and white (or dark espresso and white) provides great contrast and a bit of tension in a space. To ground this and keep things light and airy I would recommend the same countertop in a white/silvery natural vein. The sample that you placed atop the dark cabinet door seems to work really well. Not sure the color of the white, how creamy, but there is a Turkish Carrara that is very warm and lovely. From marble there is a natural Thunder marble that is hard and veined but a bit more like granite with the flecks in it. From Silestone I love the subtle cloudiness of Blanco Orion. If you want a bit more drama you can get away with it should you choose dekton Aura which has some great veining. Good luck!

**Q: Custom outlets and switchplates? Is that a thing?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

So I've invested in this gorgeous multi color green Lunada Bay tile kitchen backsplash only to find that there are no "coordinating" outlets/switchplates. White and ivory look terrible, grey clashes, I didn't like the brushed nickel and white look so I've settled on black which they are going to install on Monday after grouting. But even black is painful to me but it's the lesser of all evils. Should I stop worrying about it (is black that bad?) or are there any custom places that I should contact?

A: I would definitely paint them to blend in with the beautiful tile. It isn't as hard as you might think. If you are at all crafty it might be fun. Narrow painters tape and some paint that is of the color in the tile and perhaps a plate or two to practice on.

**Q: Please help in choosing paint color to paint interior windows and sash** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Please help…and please do not be cruel in your comments as I am just trying to make work with what we currently have. …And its all under construction. Because these wood windows were given to us to use in this addition, I cannot stain them, but have to paint the window itself and sashes(they all are stained different). I am thinking of painting out the trim to be the
wall color (although open to suggestions) so as to not create another distraction in the room. The stone sample for the fireplace is on the bottom of it and the built ins are not completed. Please ignore the armoire in kitchen, as it is a stand in and range hood, etc is not complete. It will all tie in together eventually. The couch and table will also be replaced and are just temporary. The rest of post is written on down…there are 5 larger windows total.
My dilemma is trying to figure out what color to paint these windows inside and the sashes/trim. Do i paint a contrasting white? (Although I feel this may to harsh and lose some of the wood tones in the room or will it compliment it) Do I paint them a lighter or darker color of the wall color? It is SW Loggia on walls. Any suggestions would be appreciated and if you have a suggestion on trim color as well, I would be appreciative!

A: Your instincts are spot on. There is a lot going on here. Paint them the wall color only change the sheen to satin or semi-gloss. Easy, elegant and move on! Cool spaces BTW! Good luck.
