> In 2016, we had a large tree drop thru our small brick ranch ITB in a rapidly up-sizing neighborhood. We loved the neighborhood far more than the home, and ultimately my wife and I decided to complete the demolition and build a custom home more suited to it. We'd already met with several prominent name builders where we were underwhelmed by our interactions and large project cost ranges when we found Steve Percy and Tree 2 Key through recommendations from a few friends who'd used him for significant expansions and remodels.
>
> Steve reviewed the construction plans with us, made recommendations on changes to take back to the architect, and walked us through the entire project as first time custom home builders before he had our signatures on paper. When issues came up during the project he talked us through the problem, the decision tree and the pros/cons and cost implications of our choices - and admittedly, I am not the easiest to satisfy and questioned almost every detail along the way.
>
> Overall, he constructed a 5,000 + square foot home of quality similar to (or exceeding) the other new custom homes in our neighborhood and at a significantly lower price point. He finished the project on budget (not 10%, 20% or 30% over...ON BUDGET) the same dollar figure he proposed before the original home had even been demolished - and only about 6 weeks behind the original timeline he projected.
>
> We did encounter a few post move in issues (typical relatively minor things) which were addressed in a reasonable time frame, and a couple of more significant $$$ problem (HVAC system failure and a zero entry shower leak) that came up around the 2 year mark. Steve addressed these rapidly, working around our family schedules, and to our complete satisfaction. We've been in the house for five years now and are happier with our decision every year. We'd ask him to build our final 'retirement house' in the future, if he'd put up with my constant nagging again.

> This was the second time I have used this company for a remodel. They told me the extensive kitchen remodel (removing walls, popcorn ceilings, windows, adding skylights) would take 5 weeks, and did exactly that is spite of pandemic delays. We love our new kitchen and there were no problems. This is a great remodel company to use.

> Working with Tree2Key Builders was a pleasurable experience. I am a licensed contractor who recently relocated from LA to Raleigh and found that Tree2Key Builders is a highly competent company. Steve Percy its owner was a great person to do business with and may the entire process from start to finish very pleasurable. I would not hesitate to do more business with this company in the future. Very fair reliable and most importantly very responsive to our needs. Fantastic contractor to work with!

> We can't say enough good things about WS Builders. They did a major renovation and addition for us and from the initial meeting until sign-off things were on schedule, on time and completed to our (and their) satisfaction. We had never done a project this large and were pretty apprehensive about the process, the impact on our daily lives and the expenses running out of control like you so often hear about. We are admittedly very picky about our home and getting quality work done, which has resulted in some nightmare projects for us in the past.
>
> We never once felt like it was "us vs. them" like we have with contractors previously. Wayne ran our project like a finely tuned machine...he was on the job almost daily, never more than a few minutes to respond to a text or call, things were kept clean, all subs were on time, courteous and respectful of our home and any time we had unexpected issues it was taken care of immediately. We never once felt like we were secondary to other projects or that someone was too busy for us. Wayne asked often throughout the project if we were happy with how things were going, if we had any issues or concerns. All work was done to Wayne's high standards and he had no problem telling someone to change it if it was not. In addition to being great guys, both Wayne and Steve really do try their best to give you a great product at a fair price that will meet your expectations. We've been absolutely thrilled with the results of our project.

> WS Builders are great! I highly recommend them as a professional in the building industry and as a potential customer. Garry Walker and his team are great to work with! Thank you to everyone at WS Builders!

> LOVE these guys! We hired them to finish our basement and they were amazing. Not only did they come in on budget (they even offered us ways to cut some costs) they finished the job early. Their crafstmanship was impeccable and two+ years later- ZERO complaints with the work they did (not one nail pop yet)! Recently, we even had an unrelated leak from our home's original builders who didn't caulk an outside light correctly, they came right over, inspected the issue and corrected it for free two and a half years after they finished our basement- WOW. Great guys who take pride in their work, I'd hire them again in an instant.

> WB Builders did a completely awesome job for us! We remodeled our entire downstairs and one room upstairs to take better advantage of our lovely view of the lake behind our house. The project included knocking down a wall, enlarging 6 sets of windows and doors, a complete kitchen remodel, new ceiling lights and fans, replacing vanity, toilet, and lighting in powder room, hardwood floors throughout(merged with existing floor in dining room and foyer), and paint throughout. Our project manager, Garry, was wonderful! He managed every aspect in a timely way and addressed any concerns that we had immediately and positively. Everything had been well estimated at a very good price; there were no surprises in the way of change orders. The only change orders we had were for additional features that we wanted. You can view pictures of our remodel on WS Builders website (http://www.houzz.com/pro/wsbuilders/ws-builders); look for "Larger windows for lake view."

> We hired WS Builders to renovate our kitchen. renovation included new cabinetry, flooring, lighting \[ceiling and under-cabinets\], re-positioning of dishwasher, installation of new appliances, window seat with storage, and bookcase with enclosed storage on lower level. the project manager delineated the various parts of the larger project and anticipated costs of each part. he kept us informed of anticipated date of work on each part of the project.
