Since 1991 R&D Custom Homes has been a major home-building force. Known largely for our commitment to Custom-Designed Homes, we are the source for residences tailored specifically to our Customers needs and desires. R&D Custom Homes was founded by Rocky Spano and Dan DeVivo. We started out small in the tile and remodeling business and built the business from the ground up. Dan and I have been in the remodeling and construction industry since the late '70's. 

R&D Custom Homes works only with suppliers and crews capable of delivering the quality that their Customers demand. I play a key on-site and hands-on role in each new construction project paying close attention to every detail large and small. 

"This is not a cookie-cutter approach to building homes". Every detail of the design is considered and discussed with the customer. No one is forced to settle for "what's available". A constant dialog is kept open with our Customers to insure that all expectations are completely met. Whether it's that unique front door or that special ceiling design for the dining room, Customers will find R&D Custom Homes ready to accommodate. 

We strive to partner with our Customers and involve them in the design and construction of what will be their biggest investment - their home. By listening to our Customers and paying close attention to their needs we insure a satisfying home construction experience which is second to none.

> Fantastic company!!  They were able to take one of their own floor plans and alter it to give us the customized look that we wanted.  Rocky was able to accommodate almost any request, but will let you know if a decision may not be the best one.  This was great since it was our first new home and were not sure on some choices to be made.  They kept to a strict timeline all while ensuring nothing but the best quality of work.  I have and will recommend to others.  They also make themselves fully available after your home is complete for any suggestions or questions that may come up.  Overall, very satisfied!

> Due to a fire at my house, I contacted R & D Custom homes they came to my house gave me a few ideas on how to do the job, they worked with my insurance co. and worked out a deal to do the complete job , from tear down of burnt down house to a complete new turn key house that is beautiful, my new home is so far superior to the home we had, everything they used was top shelf, you can ask  anyone on my street they will tell you  what a good job they did , i cant  think of anyone i would rather have working on my place.

We compared several other contractors and no one could beat the price or the quality of work that Rocky provided.  I have nothing but great things to say about Rocky.  This was the first house that we have ever built & Rocky made it such a smooth process for us.  You often hear people say that they would never build again.  That is not the case with us.  If I am ever to build another home, it will most definitely be with R&D Custom Homes!  Rocky is very meticulous about the work being done & is at the job site on a daily basis to ensure things are on schedule & being done correctly.  And when the time comes to finish our basement I will look no further than Rocky with R&D!

> No matter if one is in Beijing, Paris, or Kankakee, IL, the recipe for a satisfied customer is: Price, Quality, and Service.  R&D Custom Homes scores and EXCELLENT in each of these categories.  Any time I called Rocky he made time for me and often came within one or two hours.  He was friendly, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable of all realms of home construction.  If I were to have another home built, i would want R&D to be the builder.  I would be more than happy to show any prospective client the wonderful workmanship performed on our home and I am proud to say that Rocky and Danny of R&D are class people who put their hearts and brains into the construction of our home.
