> We finally decided it was the right time to build our "dream cabin" and after searching for just the right firm, we found Larry's Home Designs.  What drew us to him was the fact that not only did he have experience designing log cabins but traditional cabins as well.  We had cut our own timber to use for our beams, trusses and flooring but couldn't seem to find someone that would work with us to use our own materials and help us design what we wanted. Larry is who helped us pull all this together.  We now have our plan designed all the way down to the number of beams we need and their size, plus the engineering it takes for load bearing walls, etc., all thanks to the wonderful help of this firm.  We worked out numerous changes and it came out just as we had hoped. We highly recommend him!  He truly cares about his clients! We will start our cabin in the spring/2015

## Community Q&A

**Q: Help with House Plans Please!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Just received the first draft of my plans. The architect was a free lance person my builder suggested. The square footage is at 2600 right now and we can go up to 3000 or 3200.

A: I think there will be more houses designed for wheelchair accessibility in the very near future.  We are probably just seeing the tip of the iceberg due to it being less expensive to get nursing care at home vs a nursing home.  You are wise to think that far ahead.  Besides, it will make your home more attractive with wheelchair accessibility if you ever sell it.  Accessibility is great.  I know from first-hand experience.
