It was a duanting and overwhelming process when I first got started. I had talked to some general contractors and they told me to get my plans figured out first and then they could give me bids. I hired a plan designer and really struggled with working with him and his ideas were not well communicated. I wanted to "see" what things would really look like, not his place holders as he called them.
