We purchased the condo with the plan to do a complete renovation. We obtained three estimates from different contractors and eventually selected Black Turtle Builders, Inc. because they were the lowest estimate, but in addition we felt comfortable with the owner of the company, Watts Humphrey, sensing that he was not only competent but honest as well. > > Our sense about Mr. Humphrey's qualities were proved true by his performance in completing the work to our complete satisfaction. It required us to work closely with him in completing the drawings for the new floor plan as well as picking out all the tiles, granite, appliances, and all other decisions that go into the completion of a total renovation. > > The work consisted of tearing out all the existing kitchen and bathrooms cabinets, sinks, showers, flooring and removing all the debris. After the tear out was completed they redid the ceiling to cover the popcorn style to a smooth textured style as well as lowering it sufficiently to allow wiring to be installed for light fixtures and fans. > > The next phase was to install ceramic flooring tile throughout the condo in all the spaces including the lanai. The two bathrooms were completely remodeled with new showers, sinks and toilets. The master bedroom was completely remodeled including a walk-in closet and the guest bedroom was likewise remodeled including adding a closet.
