We needed a whole new kitchen design, since we built into our garage to make the space bigger. It was an overwhelming thought for us as homeowners-- how do we get it right in one shot? Ellen created the perfect design and narrowed down options to make this process much less daunting. She was very responsive to all my texts, calls, and emails, and kept us updated each step of the way. She communicated with our architect and and general contractor to make things go more smoothly. The final product is gorgeous. As an avid cook and baker, functionality was also key, and Ellen suggested things I had never even thought of. Unfortunately, it was poorly designed for a very large room. I had very little storage and started to use my garage and basement for the desperate storage needed. Since Ellen was highly recommended, I decided to give her a chance to make changes to meet my needs. It was a difficult task to work with the existing floor plan. I have very expensive floors and appliances and had no intention of replacing them. Ellen worked diligently with me and designed a kitchen that is both beautiful and functional. It is amazing at how she worked around my center isle to add extra storage space. A drawer for the microwave was added to the center isle giving me extra counter space. By moving the corner sink I gained a cabinet and drawer for my baking needs. The quality and color of the new cabinets has added a special touch and warmth that is so welcoming. Ellen has updated two of my bathrooms and am certain that I will call her again for my next project. Ellen is both professional and caring and is aways open to suggestions from her clients.
