Suffice to say that we contracted a new build at the end of January and did what should have been a two week walk-through mid-August and even the (third) Project Supervisor stated “I’m disappointed in the condition of the house and you shouldn’t be here today.” Never mind there were problems we had pointed out weeks prior and had not yet been fixed. > > Then came the home inspection report and that was IT for us. We were DONE. This was my retirement home I worked hard for. From day one the problems started. First I was supposed to have flat sidewalk to home because of disability. They put in a steep sidewalk. From then on everything was shoddy. Toilet in Master bath not flushing took 3 weeks to fix. There was a leak in living room wall. Plumber cut master water line and caused a major flood took 2 months to fix making it hard to get around my house. There was a broken window, screens put in backwards, lights falling out of ceiling, no retaining wall to hold dirt behind screen porch, front door would not stay closed or locked and so much more. Now my floor is separating and they won't fix it because it's out of warranty. Even though it didn't start until they replaced half the floor > Think twice before you hire them. I am a 71 year old disabled woman who's had to deal with this for over a year with having to fight them on everything. So much for being able to enjoy my retirement. I entered into a new home build contract with a builder (Crescent Homes) 6 months ago and 10 days before closing, they canceled the contract and still have not returned my deposit. The builder switched lenders and started their own lending company so they could inflate the interest rates to get more money. When I told their “lender” I was going to use my own lending company because of the inflated interest rate, they terminated the contract. It was confirmed by Moses yesterday. Well, today, as I plan my entire day to be home waiting upon these workers, given NO timeframe, they don't even come!!!! I don't get a courtesy call or heads up from Moses or anyone that they aren't coming, not to mention any communication regarding when they were supposed to come. Absolutely HORRIFIC customer service and lack of professionalism. Never had I dealt with a company or people who fail to communicate to you and respond to your wave of texts/calls/emails inquiring about the remaining punch list items. Beyond frustrated this evening and I have had it with Crescent Homes! > > Not to mention the VP, Vaughn, still owes us $200 for kicking us (dog, toddler, parents) out of our house so our hardwood floors could get REDONE FOR THE THIRD TIME. Home was well built!!! But I do feel like the law firm handling the closing was not prepared or professional. Baseboards do not line up, doors out of square to where baby gate cannot be placed in door, stair trim 2 inches different on sides, stairs stained wrong color, stair handrail no polyurethane on them, island not square, floor starting to squeak, yard not graded properly, yard not raked to remove debris prior to sod, yard not packed so now yard very uneven, many more issues. > Do not use Crescent Homes in Greenville SC. **★★★★★ — Greg Lantz, Dec. 2016** > The Design Collective in Mt.
