MK Design Build is a family owned construction and design business serving Cuyahoga, and Medina counties. We specialize in bathroom and kitchen remodeling, and design. We are your one stop shop contractor.

Owner and general contractor Michael Carraway has been in the construction business for close to 25 years. After completing construction trade school in 2000, he relocated to St.Louis MO, and began his career with Mosby Building Arts. His dedication eventually earned him the position of Head Carpenter of their exterior division.

Eventually returning back to his hometown Cleveland, he worked for JK Large Investments as a carpenter performing interior rehabs, and Champion Windows as a service and measurement technician.

In 2007 he joined the ReMax/Crossroads REO team performing property preservation and locksmith services for foreclosed homes in Cleveland and Surrounding areas. This eventually led to the development of his first businesses, MK REO Services LLC and 216 Lock Serv LLC.

Returning to his love for construction, talent for design and customization, today we are MK Design Build. We have grown and developed MK Design Build into a reliable, professional company, catering to jobs of all sizes and needs. We look forward to working with you in planning and executing your next home project.

> Wish I could rate Mike six stars. Could not have hired a better contractor for my master bathroom remodel. The process was stress free from beginning to end. Mike did it all. He designed the bathroom, did all the demo work, the plumbing, the electrical, painting, tile work, carpentry, and clean up. He took care of any issues he ran into with along the way without missing a beat. Mike advised me every morning of his arrival time. At the end of each day, he showed me what work was completed and advised me of his plan for the next day. Mike did the work like his was working on his own house. He was conscious of keeping the work area clean and organized. Even his work area in my garage was always left in better condition than he found it. I did not have to lift a finger during the whole process. He works independently and never stopped from the time he arrived till the time he left each day. Mike gave me a vision I didn’t know I had. He takes pride in his work. There were no surprises. I always knew what was going on. I could not be happier with the finished project. If you are lucky enough to have a chance to have Mike complete your project, don’t hesitate. You will not be disappointed.

> Fantastic experience with Mike for our Bathroom renovation. He exceeded our expectations in all aspects. His communication was always thorough. Completed the project within the estimated timeline. Was clean throughout the workday to where when he was finished for the day, one would not know there was a renovation going on. The result was more than we could have imagined. Do not hesitate to hire Mike for whatever you have in mind.

> I can’t say enough good things about MK Design Build. Mike does exactly what he says he is going to do! He is timely, extremely organized, meticulous with details and a master at many crafts! Our bathroom, with new tiled shower, turned out beautifully. We could not be happier!

> I don't think I can say enough positive things about Michael and MK Design Build. We have done many projects over the years, basements, kitchens, bathrooms, floors, etc. I can tell you that Michael is the best and it isn't even close. His work is meticulous and his design ideas are spot on. The quality of the work is top notch because Michael does it all. No sub-contractors to deal with, just Michael and his very small team to handle everything you need. I think there are 3 things that clearly set MK Design Build apart from all others, attention to details, cleanliness and punctuality. They showed up ON TIME each and every day and when they left the work space was organized and CLEAN. Daily. Michael remodeled our kids bathroom and our powder room. He estimated about 4 weeks total for both jobs which was 2 weeks less than any other quote...he was done in exactly 15 days. See before and after pics of the kids bathroom

> Our bathroom remodel was the least stressful renovation experience we've ever had. Michael is always on time, consistently keeps you up to speed on the project, and is meticulous when it comes to the quality of his work and the cleanliness of the work area. He treated our house better than we do :) Our bathroom came out as close to our vision as it could have and we are thrilled with the outcome!

**★★★★★ — Kady Overton, May 2023**

> I can’t say enough good things about Mike! He was prompt, neat and kept our expectations in line with reality. We did have problems arise and even though they weren’t as a result of anything he did, Mike was very responsive and professional throughout. We will definitely ( and have already) recommend Mike to others who are looking to improve their home.

> Mike did an amazing job with my custom built cedar shutters and siding. He is very professional, communicative, and very fair priced. If I could give 10 stars I would! Don’t even waste your time like I did with getting other quotes.
