I am choosing walnut cabinets for my home and trying to tease out how cabinetmakers arrive at such a beautiful golden finish with a brown toned walnut. Thank you. A: Susan, apologies for the delayed reply. There is no stain on the referenced cabinet. It is solid black walnut with a tung oil varnish, hand rubbed. It's a natural looking and feeling finish for walnut. Best to you. **Q: Beautiful cabinets, what is the color name and maker?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: The paint color is from the Ben. Moore deck, Verdigris, but we have it mixed in our cabinet finishes. For this kitchen we used Milk Paint from General Finishes. It's not actually a Milk Paint, it is 100% acrylic, but it looks very similar. The cabinetry is by td\[s\].
