Look elsewhere. **Comment from Wine Cellar Specialists:** > When we were contacted by this customer about her cooling not working correctly, we sent the hvac people that we use out to find the problem. They found a faulty part which we replaced for her. The unit had already passed it's one year warranty but we did not charge her for the part or the labor. This fixed the issue at that time. She called back again several months later with another issue. The unit was out of warranty and we directed her to the hvac company that we use for all of our installs. In fact, we gave her the name of two companies so that she could deal direct with them. We do not know what she did at that time as we were no longer in the loop. This is a mechanical piece of equipment and as such, can break down, as any mechanical equipment can do. We did not manufacture the cooling equipment. We did everything we could to take care of this during and even after the warranty was up. We then directed her to a source for future maintenance so that she could reach them directly without having to go through us. We are not responsible for maintaining her equipment forever. The cooling equipment was installed and started up in July of 2015. This is now 2017. A: This particular project was done several years ago. Prices have changed since then. This was stain grade mahogany with stain and lacquer. It will depend upon the wood you choose if you want to stain and/or lacquer or unfinished the complete style of the room and the size of the room. A guess would not help you. Please get us your dimensions and we will do a drawing and get you exact pricing. **Q: Wine cooler differences?** *(in Appliances)* Looking to install one of these as part of a kitchen remodel and I was blown away at the price difference between them. These start at around $2-300 and go up to $3-4000 for the size that I want. What is with the crazy price range for what is effectively a mini-fridge? Yeah I know it has some additional features like dual-zone setup and such but how do I decide what is paying extra for good quality manufacturing/reliability vs. brand name and hype? A: Generally, it's like a car. A Toyota Corolla and an Audi A6 virtually do the same thing, aren't that different in function, and both will get you from point A to point B. Some would even argue that the Corolla works better, and some would say the A6 works better. It seems to depend on opinion and experience. Yet, one is tens of thousands more expensive than the other. Many factors go into this, like the badge on the vehicle, the money spent to ship the parts to your country, the extra bells and whistles inside the car and inside the engine, and the aesthetics. In the end, it simply depends on what you want out of the product. If you just want a good wine cooler that does the job, the low-end wine coolers may work just fine and do what you need them to do, like a Corolla. If you want some extra bells and whistles, more high-quality materials, a fancier name brand, and some additional useful functions, go for a higher priced wine cooler. Look up reviews on certain wine coolers and see what others' experiences are. I hope my novel helped clear something up for you.
