> Christa saved us so much time and money by keeping us from making expensive design mistakes. After living here for 20 years, we became empty nesters and my husband was planning to retire. We decided it was time to completely remodel our home. It was her insightful idea to move a staircase to create an open floor plan for our kitchen and living and dining rooms. These newly renovated rooms are our favorite places to relax with friends. Christa had our three bathrooms gutted and completely redid them to spa-like perfection. Phase two will include new furniture, artwork and wall coverings. Christa was consistently kind, patient and always a great listener. Whenever we were at a design crossroads, my husband and I would say, ‘Let's ask Christa,’ and she would gently guide us in the right direction.

We started with an approach to a cohesive palette to be used throughout the house so that everything flows, but without being matchy-matchy. Then she provided concepts for the master bedroom and bathroom in such a way that we could execute over time, as budget allows. We'll finish the rest of the house this way, planning one room at time against an overarching style sheet so that the end result will be unfied and seamless.

I have a house that has a very similar bathroom setup.  The bathroom is dated, but what I saw looks great for the little space we have.  What is the rough cost and time to create a bathroom like this one?

A: That is a hard question to answer, as costs vary greatly based on plumbing & electrical issues that may exist, as well as regional pricing variations.  I would recommend speaking to a local contractor for an estimate.
