## Community Q&A

**Q: shopping for a shower** *(in Design Dilemma)*

so many choices... 

if I go with a frameless, neo-angle shower for my guest bath, what size would be comfortable? I'm thinking no less than 42? Clear glass is nice, but as a guest bath in the 1st floor living space, should I go with frosted glass? 

Also, If space is not an option, is it less expensive to go with a standard shower stall rather than the neo-angle?

Lastly, to save some $$$ and avoid cleaning grout, is corian an option or should I go with engineered quartz for shower walls?

Not looking for super high end here, just looking to have 2 attractive and functional showers.

A: I work for a manufacturer of shower pans. The preferred size seems to be larger than 36" if you have the room. Also, the largest complaint is the tile with grout. We offer solid surface walls and seamless pans. The engineered materials is a nightmare from our fabricators perspective. Buyer beware! Solid surface(corian,one of many brands) has its pros and cons. Get the facts on all surfaces from someone who is extremely knowledgable! Skip the sales people and talk to the fabricators and installers! Good luck
