> Desia has an eye for both ascetics and practical design. She is resourceful, timely, and well connected in the design build world. She is realistic about budgets and cost of projects. Her work is fresh, light and often incorporates unique up-cycled components. Always a joy to see how her projects turn out!!!!

**★★★★★ — Evan Ivler, May 2019**

> After initially hiring, and firing, another designer, we hired Desia at Atomic Design to work with us for a top-to-bottom remodel of our 1893 farmhouse. I have nothing but positive things to say. She listened to everything we wanted, and was able to think outside the box to incorporate some really excellent design touches that met our goal of restoration as much as remodel. We're building now, but so far, Desia has been very responsive to any questions that arise. The plans are easy to follow, and the 3D renderings and her wanting to meet to make final revisions in real time (and in 3D so we could visualize them) have made for a very positive and low-stress experience.
> I won't hesitate to recommend Desia and Atomic Design, and should I need architectural design work again I know who I'll be using.

**★★★★★ — Suzy Soul, Aug. 2018**

> Desia really helped come up with the perfect design for our daylight basement room, allowing us to take a raw, basement space and transform it into a light, bright bedroom. We appreciated the quick turnaround and the professionalism in the plans.

> Atomic Design Was amazing. I spent about 10 minutes talking and they understood exactly what I wanted to do with my kitchen. I had specs sent to me that day. Desia was very easy to work with and seemed passionate about getting the layout out exactly like I wanted. I could not recommend them enough

**★★★★★ — Jeannie Manman, April 2018**

> My husband and I hired Atomic \* Design to design a master bedroom remodel and dormer bathroom addition to our 1940 Cape Cod. We were very pleased with all the designs Desia came up with. There were a few revisions along the way and the final design is great. We enjoyed the collaborative aspect of working with her. She paid attention to our design requests and was flexible with her input. We are impressed with the level of expertise required to complete the design and permit work and are happy to pay for this level of professionalism.

**Comment from atomic \* design:**

> Thank you Jeannie. I felt like you and Rick were a breeze to work with! YOu have excellent taste, direction and flexibility. I can't wait to see the finished product. It's going to be so swanky!

**★★★★★ — Genevieve Sundet, April 2018**

> We were ready to remodel our 1972 house and didn't really know where to start. Friends suggested Desia and I am so glad they did. She patiently walked us through everything we needed to do; listened, suggested, visited the house multiple times and introduced me to Pinterest! We are now in the middle of the remodel and the detailed plans provided by Desia have been invaluable. The plans helped us get a good bid and the contractor appreciates Desia's availability for any questions. I would highly recommend Desia for any project, large or small!

**Comment from atomic \* design:**

> Thank you so much Gene. You and Leal have been two of the best clients I have ever had. I really appreciate you and am humbled by your kind words. Thank you, it has been my pleasure. ❤️

**★★★★★ — Marcia Keske, Sept. 2017**

> Desia did a wonderful job of designing the basement for our mid-century modern home. She developed a range of design options for us, which addressed both our functional needs and our aesthetic desires.

**★★★★ — Pace Bowers, March 2017**

> This review is long overdue! I found Desia through Houzz after an architect that we hired didn't work out. We were having a difficult time finding someone that could take our small 1920s kitchen space and maximize it for efficiency and modernize it, but still keep the overall period essence and work within our style parameters. Desia was extremely responsive from the beginning and came up with a design that we were looking for and just weren't able to conceptualize. She was flexible in working with us and provided good design direction in the selection of materials based on the style that we wanted. It was a collaborative effort, which I really appreciated. We are extremely happy with the results. Our contractor has sent people over to look at the finished product and we get rave reviews anytime someone new comes over. Highly recommended!

**★★★★★ — Chris Hampson, Nov. 2016**

> Desia saved my butt when permitting an ADU. She gave me great design ideas and encouragement throughout a arduous process. Thank you Atomic Design!

**★★★★★ — rvail, March 2016**

> I was honestly a little skeptical of hiring a designer as I assumed installing a bathroom in the basement to complete our master bedroom would be fairly straightforward, but after seeing her designs I was immediately pleased with our decision. She is very talented and creative, and she was able to see the space in a completely different way, transforming the room into a much more interesting and efficient use of square footage. Desia is also extremely professional and prompt. I definitely plan on using her services for all future home projects.

**★★★★★ — amanda\_rose13, Feb. 2016**

> Working with Desia at Atomic Design was effortless. She helped us add 2 bedrooms and 1 bath to our existing layout. She is extremely thorough with her design from start to finish and takes it all the way through the permit process. I will definately call her again for future projects! I highly recommend Desia for all your design needs. Big or small.

Taking cues from the character of the home and the personality of the client, we created a relaxing 'zen-princess' master suite design that honors both. Sean Fields of Sagefield's Construction masterfully crafted this space into what you see in the pictures.

**Q: What did you use for the black shower curb cap?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We are doing a black & white bathroom with subway tile & smaller hexagon tile. I'd like to do the curb cap in black like you've done but haven't come across a solution!

A: This is a black granite we found in a remnant pile at a stone warehouse here in Portland, Or.

**Q: Love these cabinets! Who do you use as the cabinet-maker?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I honestly don't know who made these cabinets, but I usually use Gary Hill with Retrospect Craftsmen.
