**Q: Can this be cut to fit smaller spaces** *(in Product Questions)*

Trying to create a surround for fireplace/TV wall

A: It's made of plaster so yes it can be cut.

What is your favorite material to use when designing the surround of a fireplace?

A: classical fireplaces are natural stone, I prefer sandstone myself for the classic look.
However I like the modern look, and would use flat design, with solid cold colors, white, greys.
I also like the stacked stone look if it's done with natural stone.

**Q: What to do with Large fireplace.** *(in Fireplaces)*

I am getting ready to sell my house and want to update my large 1950's fireplace. Sadly my reno budget won't allow me to tear down or cover it with new bricks. Any recommendations for what to do would be appreciated.

A: I think you just need to modernize it a little.
The hearth needs to change, go with a single color modern tile
If it were my place I would either stucco over the brick, or cover with a drywall or a smooth tile with very little or no grout lines.
The brass is a bit dated, but would look modern if paired with the right colors (greys ?)
