**★★★★★ — Mila Renken, Aug. 2022**

> June was absolutely incredible! Love how my yard turned out! She was wonderful to work with, kind, collaborative, has great ideas and is clearly an expert in her field! Cannot speak more highly of June and her services!

**★★★★★ — Linda Polwrek, July 2022**

> What a joy it was to work with June; we can highly recommend her design services! June redesigned our front and back yards which included hardscape, plantings, watering lines, lighting, a custom gate and even some furniture recommendations. Her drawings were detailed and meticulous and she made any requested adjustments quickly and graciously. In fact, June has a talent for mediation as she was able to bring my husband and myself into agreement on a few contested areas with diplomacy and tact. When it came to the design process, June was very well organized, and when we were ready to begin work, she recommended three excellent contractors to choose from. June responded to any questions or concerns quickly as the work began and was on site frequently to oversee and fine tune the work. We are just thrilled with how the work turned out and have received many compliments from our neighbors. You can feel confident in working with June!

**Comment from June Scott Design:**

> Thank you so much, Linda! It was a pleasure working on your project.

**★★★★★ — HU-336713573, July 2022**

> My wife and I wanted a comprehensive landscape plan for our front and back yards. June listened carefully to what we wanted to accomplish and created a design that incorporated the principles we wanted to follow. It was important for us to have something that conserved water and provided the functional beauty we desired. She checked in as the project was being completed and provided valuable suggestions when certain plants were not available. We would highly recommend June Scott Design.

**Comment from June Scott Design:**

> Thanks so much for your review! It was my pleasure to work on your project.

**★★★★★ — Peter Imbres, July 2022**

> We had a great experience working with June Scott on our backyard project. We had just completed a big pool project and wanted a landscape/hardscape plan that complemented the design of the pool area. We were able to create a really beautiful and functional space that has stood the test of time over the past couple years. June was not only great to work with during the design phase but she was also helpful as the designs were being implemented and during some late changes to the overall layout. Creating privacy while maintaining the elegance of the plantings was a big priority for me and, especially now that things have grown in a bit, we've got great privacy without having to create a wall of shrubs or doing anything that would obstruct our view. It was a great experience and we can't recommend June enough.

**Comment from June Scott Design:**

> Thanks so much for your review, Peter. It was a pleasure to work on your project.

**★★★★★ — Juan Rangel, Dec. 2020**

> I have had the pleasure of working with Junes designs on several projects. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of landscape installation and is very aware and up to date on the latest plant cultivars. Her work is unique and truly remarkable.

**★★★★★ — Rob, Dec. 2020**

> June's designs are impeccable. Her taste is excellent, her knowledge is thorough, and her personality is friendly and approachable. She makes herself available for any follow-up calls and questions, even long after the project is finished. We have used June's services on multiple projects, and she will be our first call next time we need any landscape design work done. Can't recommend her highly enough!

**Comment from June Scott Design:**

> Thank you, Rob! It's been a pleasure working with you on your projects.

**★★★★★ — Em Webster, April 2020**

> We loved working with June. We have done 2 projects with her. The first one is fully grown in now and is everything we hoped it would be - native, easy to maintain, and beautiful to look at. She has been very flexible and adaptable in our projects, willing to adjust designs and project scope. Drawings were thorough and delivered in a timely manner. Definitely recommend!

**★★★★★ — User, Jan. 2020**

June is a wonderful asset to any design team, she is patient and highly experienced. I would certainly work with her again in the future and highly recommend her services.

**★★★★★ — Faith Coffman, Sept. 2019**

> I met June when our children were in school together 15 years ago. Since then we have collaborated on projects thru out the years. She has a beautiful aesthetic. Throughly knowledgeable about drought tolerant plants and natives. A joy to work with! She is especially great with modern and mid century plantings and design.

**★★★★★ — Tracy A. Stone Architect, Aug. 2019**

> We worked with June Scott Design on a remodel project in South Pasadena. The client wanted to be sure that the interior and exteriors of the small cottage were fully integrated. June was a delight to work with - she is creative, responsive, and thoughtful. I strongly recommend June Scott for your landscape needs.

**★★★★★ — Mary Pickert, Feb. 2019**

> To me what makes a great design is collaboration. I found June wonderful to work with in this regard. I had an idea of what I wanted to do in my front yard -- removing overgrown succulents and a thirsty lawn, and an idea of what I wanted my yard to feel like. June had the patience to listen to me as we discussed plant types, colors, shapes and what made sense for my soil and for living in So. Cal. She had the flexibility to meet me on weekends and evenings, could do some things without me being present (measure my yard etc). She was quickly responsive, helpful, collaborative, reasonably priced and had great resources, and even was happy to continue the conversation after the installation was complete when I had questions. All in all, a great experience, and I would easily work with her again.

 - Description: This is a modern take on a classic garden. The paving was designed with precision and then softened with lush planting. Two distinct spaces, a dining area and lounging spot, are delineated with herringbone pavers and linked by a flagstone walk. The walk takes the edge of the design’s geometry and avoids a sense of monotony that might result from repetition of the larger spaces’ paving pattern. Star jasmine and climbing roses soften the walls bordering the space, and citrus trees and herbs fill a…

New plantings were designed to attract birds and butterflies. Photo by Martin Cox.

 - Location: Long Beach, CA
 - Photos: 13
 - Description: Small urban gardens demand well-considered designs to meet the needs of families. Working with a restrained palette, we carefully considered every detail of this front and back garden re-design, which included a custom water feature, firepit and seating areas. The front garden is now a chic entry with lines underscoring the home's geometry--one that can be transformed into a lively gathering spot. A flagstone planter was reconfigured as a sleek reflecting pool, and new fencing echoes the mid-cen…

Poured-in-place concrete pavers in a meandering pattern slow the approach from the sidewalk to the entry. The modest backyard has been maximized for entertaining with outdoor dining and seating areas. Native plants, herbs, and edibles share the back garden beds, and a raised pond brings the garden to life.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What chairs are these?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where can I find these chairs?

A: These were vintage Sculptura chairs that had been in the owner's family and that they had powder-coated. This articles lists the DWR chairs and replicas: https://www.gardenista.com/posts/highlow-midcentury-sculptura-chair-by-russell-woodard/

**Q: size/spacing** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello, beautiful pathway. Would you mind sharing the size of each stepping stone/concrete? Also, what is the distance between each step (ie. the space between each step)? thank you so much!

A: Hi there, If my memory is correct those are 2' x 4' with 4" gaps in between.

**Q: herringbone pavers** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi what is the brand of the herringbone pavers they look great

A: Hi there - Thanks for your question. This project was built about seven years ago, and my memory is a bit hazy, but I believe they were from Angelus Pavers.

**Q: what kind of tree is that by the dinner table?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is it a Bougainville??

A: Yes, it is. It was planted by the owners so I don’t know the variety

**Q: Tree lighting** *(in Photo Questions)*

Are the lights that hang from the Crepe Myrtle solar powered or are they hardwired?

A: Hello and thanks for your question: the lights are hard-wired.

**Q: what size are the concrete pavers?** *(in Photo Questions)*

There are pavers in this yard I’d like to know the sizes. Thanks.

A: Hello and thanks for your question. The concrete is this photo is the driveway that was sliced through the middle to create room for the plants and stones shown. Other pavers in the project were custom/poured-in-place, but they were mostly a standard size for pre-cast pavers: 2' x 3'.
