> Ryan Adanalian with Caddis was the architect and job captain for my project. Fantastic work is what he provided. I had not handled anything like this before and he was most patient and helpful at each step of the way. Throughout the project he provided regular updates even when things were moving slowly outside of his control. I don't post many reviews, but Ryan's professionalism needed posting and public recognition. Thank you Ryan.

> I have worked with Bryan and Kristen on two amazing projects, both net zero houses in the cold mountains of Colorado. Their designs are timeless. Whenever I walk into my current house, I feel happy. People routinely stop me outside to tell me how much they love it, and they can only see the exterior! It is so unique yet blends into the Colorado mountain town style seamlessly. They design houses that are not just beautiful but are green, efficient and made to last. They are terrific to work with, very professional and meticulous but also just great people. I have nothing but positive memories, which is saying something when building a house!

**★★★★★ — Tom Noyes, May 2021**

> We had a mid-century modern home that needed an addition with congruent styling with the existing architecture. We didn't want to screw it up so we hired Caddis to solve the riddle. A year later it was finished and looks great. We included Tons of steel work, including a steel stairwell - which I love. Lots of southern facing glass with stunning flatiron views. They were easy to work with and they kept us on track. The building plans were complete w/clear detailing for us to follow. The process was easier than I thought it would be, and really a lot of fun to go through. Kristen Uitto was my contact there and a pleasure to work with as was the rest of the people at Caddis. I would use them again. Thank You Kristen and Caddis.

**★★★★★ — Treehouse Village, Oct. 2020**

> Caddis worked closely with our prime architect to design our cohousing community, the first of its kind in Atlantic Canada. As a cohousing design specialist that included lived experience on the part of the architects, Caddis helped our community feel confident that we were getting the best possible community-oriented design science. Combined with their impressive building science knowledge and ability to deliver PHIUS energy modelling and certification, Caddis brought an incredibly skilled, thoughtful, and dedicated team to our project that helped the design work express our core values. Bryan and his team’s client-oriented approach, friendliness and flexibility allowed them to connect well with our group, and they brought steady collaborative spirit and leadership to our professional team. It is safe to say that Caddis exceeded our expectations and worked incredibly hard to make the project successful.

**★★★★★ — User, June 2018**

> Caddis is fantastic. We have worked with them on three separate projects (home build, basement finish, outdoor deck). Incredibly knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. They really listen and try to work to what you want. We love our comfortable, light-filled home and we've seen many other gorgeous buildings and spaces that they have designed. You can't go wrong.

**★★★★★ — Dale Deegan, June 2018**

> I worked with Caddis on my townhouse main floor remodel. They were excellent to work with, knowledgeable and friendly with an exceptional eye for clean lines, daylight, and real life kid and pet mess. The design process was easy and fun.

**★★★★★ — Jenevieve Russell, June 2018**

> Incredible design. Thoughtful visionaries. Informed and knowledgeable about environmentally forward concepts. Community oriented and collaborative. (all around rockstars on making it our dream a reality)

**★★★★★ — wildbusch8, June 2018**

> Caddis designed our new basement stairwell. The space was tight and every inch mattered. We are thankful that Caddis’ design worked out perfectly. Now we have a new beautiful basement entrance that increases the functionality and value of our house. Thanks Caddis!

**★★★★★ — Earth Clay Works. American Clay, Dec. 2017**

> Our company has provided clay walls on several Caddis Architecture projects. Their design work always strike strikes me as creative, accessible, beautiful and perfectly relatable to the client. Bryan and his team have an extensive understanding of green building, which is important and rare. We have also worked with them personally on our home kitchen remodel... Bryan was able to figure out the problem of getting more space in my kitchen that I had been trying to solve on my own for years. The results are amazing!

**★★★★ — rkorpela, July 2014**

> I recently worked with Caddis to design a home I'm building in Boulder County. The timeline took longer than anticipated but they did an excellent job designing the home and working to ensure all of the needs we had were being met. They were very responsive through the entire process and made many suggestions that helped shape a project that we are very excited about and plan to break ground on in the next month or two. If you need an architect in Boulder County, I highly recommend Caddis PC.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the floor wood/stain? thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This is tung-oiled antique oak from Carlisle Flooring!

**Q: Siding brand/color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Beautiful combination. Would you be willing to share the siding & trim type, brand, and color? Thanks so much!

A: Here's some information that I know. Siding is beetle kill square notched ship lap with grey semi solid stain on the second floor, 1x12 beettle kill board & 2x2 batten on the main level. The roof is standing seam by Berridge - charcoal color.

**Q: What Company Fabricated This Tension Truss?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you provide the name of the company that fabricated this tension truss?

A: Three Elements Timberworks. Their link is here.

**Q: Are there any standard parts in the tie-rod assembly?** *(in Photo Questions)*

And what is the donut that joins the 2 angled rods? Is that welded to the rods are joined via cleavis or something else (photo is too dark).

(The whole thing is a great looking approach to what would otherwise be ... a scissor truss?)

Thx

A: The center is made up of three pieces of steel plate welded to the steel rods and a piece of steel tube in the center. The rods are threaded at the other end joined by clevis's that are connected by clevis pins to the steel knife plates.

**Q: what software do you use to model and render?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It is a combination between: sketchup, form-z, and photoshop. We first use form-z to draw the building masses, then import it into sketchup (for building color, building details, and trees), and then finally into photoshop where we add vegetation and sky.

**Q: what is the floating countertop made of and where might i find it? also what is the name of the color? Thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The elevated bar top is a product called 3form: www.3-form.com. The color is Cranberry Infused, Chroma. Really gorgeous to work with. The sliding door in the far background is made of the same material, but a translucent white. It's not inexpensive, but for the impact it can make on a space it's money well spent. It's also very durable.
