Since installation they new two windows needed to be repaired do to bad installation. A year of following up and baby sitting them asking when is someone coming out to fix the windows and now they just don't respond at all. Going to consult with attorney to see what I can do. I have been searching for info on aluminium windows attached directly to steel frames, but find very little. Other than construction tolerances and thermal transfer by the frame, do you find it a problematic approach? May thanks! A: jackholloway. We also installed all of the exterior windows and doors to steel substrate. We used bituminous paint to isolate the two dissimilar metals.
