Signed a contract with Steve Wiggins and he did eventually honor the contract after he breached it. Unusual situation, cost us $20k plus about $5k lost interest, but we probably came out ahead. Odd person to deal with, you contact him, be prepared to wait awhile for any response. He goes silent and there’s no office you can go to. Long story short, we used a clause to cancel the contract a few weeks after signing it and giving him $350k to begin construction. We knew canceling the contract would cost us $20k but we had no choice. He dragged the refund out 6 weeks longer than originally agreed, was completely silent, never returned calls so we almost ended up suing him for breach of contract. Very frustrating, I’m glad its over. EXPENSIVE lesson. I can’t imagine owning one of his homes. Good luck if you have issues or need to reach him.
