Recovering from a near fatal car accident which ended my career as a physical therapist, I decided to partner with my husband and join his furniture business and found the natural woods and holistic carvings brought me great comfort. I became the other half of "Royal Imports" designing and creating carved doors, taking inspiration from architecture of India and Colonial influences of Spanish, British, French cultures. I was always drawn to healing as a physical therapist and as I learned more about mindfulness and the earthing grounding qualities of old woods, I developed a deep connection with the vintage carved doors and antique furniture. I would consider swapping out the rug and coordinate accordingly, but get afraid I'll put myself in the same situation or not knowing how to finish the room. I'd really like to keep the high dollar items like bed, nightstands, bench, mirrors and draperies in place, and work around those.
