He was polite, cleaned up after himself and it was clear was not cutting any corners. If it took more time to do it right then he would take more time! We were getting quotes from another tile person, but that person wasn't getting back to us and we would have to hired different people to do demo and to move and re-install the toilet. Ability Flooring was a little more expensive, but it was SO MUCH EASIER dealing with them and they could handle all aspects of our project. Great experience!

Beautiful. Are these stained and if so, do you mind sharing the color?

A: Hey there, thanks for reaching out! This is a prefinished engineered product stained in the factory. We unfortunately can no longer get this exact product, but we have some very similar options. **Q: Is this floor tile looking like wood or is it real hardwood?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am building a new home and my kitchen has a similar layout, I am trying to decide if it is better to have marble all over the main floor kitchen included  or hardwood which seems to be a popular choice now days, my concern is having wood in the kitchen where we like to cook a lot and eat in there.

A: itacla, to help with your decision - We have installed both marble and hardwood in kitchens. Keep in mind, with marble, the stone is porous and will need to be sealed and resealed on a regular basis (more maintenance). With hardwood, it can be decades before it needs to be refinished (less maintenance). 
I like to suggest to my customers, if you look at it from a resale perspective, hardwood is the one floor that adds the most resale value.

What color is the red on the wall?

A: I am not sure what the color on the wall is called. 
We only did the hardwood floors and that is natural oak.

**Q: Hardwood Flooring Help - What kind and where to purchase?** *(in Flooring)*

We are building our first home and are almost to the flooring stage. Our builder has quoted us for laminate because we do have a large dog (Mastiff), however I'm not a big fan of installing laminate in a $350,000+ house because of the look and it's slick for him to maneuver around.
We are looking towards hardwood because it can be refinished later, but keep getting pushed towards engineered hardwood by all of the salesmen. I have no issues with that other than all of the top layers look extremely thin on the engineered wood we've been shown and I don't want scratches to ruin the floor. This will be on a 1200 ft main level with a subfloor.
This is completely new to us, so we don't know where to purchase the floors, engineered vs bamboo vs hardwood, or even what brands to look for/stay away from. All that is local to us in Fort Wayne, Indiana is Lumber Liquidators & Lowes as well as the typical Carpet1, etc chain stores. We can purchase online and have installed if needed.

A: Christopher, those prices seem to be fair. Especially with that thick of a top veneer. 

Please keep in mind. When purchasing flooring online, the wood flooring manufacturers do not honor their warranties. So if something goes wrong, you are on your own and it could potentially cost you double to fix it. 

Your local family store generally offers a fair market value along with service and all warranties included for both the wood and labor. Also, I recommend researching online reviews of any and all the local stores.
