> Dave Hu, Phil and his team did tile work in 2 of our bathrooms. This team does outstanding work. Detailed, precise, clean, very friendly and professional. Highly recommend for all tile work. !

> Dave, Phil and their team did an awesome job with my master bath remodel. They took it down to studs and built it back to beautiful marble spa-like bathroom. We collaborated on the design along the way. They always have great ideas! Dave's team is always on time, professional, talented, and always clean-up at end of their day.

> We couldn’t be happier with our Master Bath transformation! Dave had great ideas that added value, long-term practicality, style and luxury. He and his team were polite and professional, which made collaboration and living in the house during our major remodel easier. Working with a true craftsman gave us exactly what we wanted. We wholeheartedly recommend Dave Hu Construction.

> Phil Hu recently completed the tile in our remodeled master bathroom. It is a work of art. Phil not only exhibited refined skill and experience setting the tile, but also lent guidance on function and design. He communicates well, honors commitments, and is honest and respectful. We look forward to hiring him and his crew again!

> Recently had large kitchen and dining room floor tiled in an old home. They had a lot to deal with considering things weren't level like they once were! Matt was able to level it, install tile and it is absolutely beautiful, workmanship is exceptional!

> Dave recently tiled our addition bathroom. He was extremely professional and courteous and always returned our communications quickly. My fussy husband was thrilled to see that Dave laid down paper to protect the floor outside the bathroom and leading to the stairs. The tile job is mint! Absolutely gorgeous craftsmanship!

> First, let me say, Dave wasn't easy to get. It seems his work is in great demand. Once he agreed to take our project, our worries about the tile were over, or they should have been, but we didn't know then what we know now that it's complete. We could have handed him a key, and a sketch, then gone on vacation.
>
> Dave came in to look at the project before he even thought about ordering tile. We talked, showed him our ideas, and he made some incredibly good suggestions. His little touches might not show to the casual observer, but every part of our job was done with great care and attention to detail.
>
> THAT TERM: Attention to Detail, is used a lot, but Dave is the best example of that attention I have ever met. Look for our photos to be posted soon, the black and white hex and subway tile shower and bathroom floor are amazing.
>
> He was an absolute joy to have around, always wanted a perfect finished product and seemed to care as much about our new shower as if it were his own.

> Dave Hu just finished our master bathroom remodel and we love it! We had a vision but didn't know how to get to the end result. Dave guided us through the process, verified the quality of the materials we chose and he also came up with wonderful ideas. He is easy to work with, flexible, professional, and does excellent work. Thank you Dave, we are very happy!

> Can't say enough good things about Dave Hu Construction. Honest, thorough and on time. High quality work from respectful professionals. They have completed one shower / tub for us so far, and it came out perfectly. We are so pleased that we plan to have them back for more work in the near future. If you want the job done right the first time, look no further!

**★★★★★ — calypsocopperpot, Feb. 2016**

> We contracted Dave Hu to install the tile in our bath/shower enclosure. The job was completed in about 2.5 days. He reviewed our prep work and tile design and gave us very helpful suggestions. His tile setter was fast and professional and did beautiful, careful work. Above all, Dave was very patient while we took ages to complete the prep work, and was always very friendly. We are so happy with the finished product. If we ever need another tiling job, we will definitely be calling Dave.

**★★★★★ — Carmen Matthis, Dec. 2015**

> Awesome work on remodel of two bathrooms. Punctual, courteous, and high quality of work in every aspect. Phil Hu did the work, and we are extremely pleased.

**★★★★★ — Cheryl Northam, Oct. 2015**

> Dave Hu and his crew just finished installing 1,100 sq. feet of wood look tile on the floor of our house. It is so beautiful, not only because our floor looks like reclaimed barn wood, but because of the excellent craftsmanship of the installation. The tiles are straight, the grout is clean and well done, the joints are perfect. Dave's crew was on time, did the work as scheduled, and finished ahead of time. The jobsite was always clean and any trash was removed daily. True professionals! As we remodel, we plan on more tile work, and this is the contractor that we hope to have back to do that work. We will be back to upload pictures when the floor trim is done. Thank you Dave and crew!

## Community Q&A

**Q: How hard are glass block to clean?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The glass blocks themselves are easy to maintain with a squeegee and glass cleaner. The issue that most people have is the grout joints between the blocks. We have tried to make it as user friendly as possible by recommending that they pay a little extra and use epoxy grout. We did use epoxy grout in the picture here.

**Q: Is the glass block used for the window energy efficient?** *(in Photo Questions)*

How well does a window made of this block keep out the cold in the Northern Zone? Same as a conventional window?

A: The insulation value is actually closer to double on a glass block window then on a conventional double pane window.

**Q: Shower dimensions** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the dimensions of the shower?

A: The shower is approximately 3 feet by 5 feet.

**Q: Entrance** *(in Photo Questions)*

How big is the opening in to the shower?

A: The opening is only about 26 inches wide.

**Q: What is the mosaic tile on the floor?? LOVE IT! Thanks for reply!!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: There are a few questions that you would need to answer first. How much do you cook, do you entertain a lot, is the kitchen the place you spend a lot of time? If you answer yes to any of these questions I would say not to use the rainforest marble. Marble is inherently soft and stains easily. It is rated more for a bathroom or an area that has low impact foot traffic. I would opt for a more durable material such as porcelain or ceramic. If you really want to stick with natural stone then a flamed or honed granite would hold up well.

**Q: What size of blocks are used with this shower wall?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The blocks are 8x8s the style is Decora.
