The first 6 years was marvelous. Great convenience. Subsequently, the motors in 4 of the blinds stopped working. Unfortunately Hunter Douglas informed me that they no longer have that motor. They can replace the blinds at $700 each but the material will not match what I purchased. …What am I supposed to do now?I hope the motors on the remaining 9 won’t stop working. Remember this if you purchase these remote controlled blinds. It’s great to get up in the morning and your blinds are up and close in the evening. I would not have purchased them had I known that they could not be repaired or replaced with the matching material if the motor stopped functioning. I don’t understand why they can’t take the material from my blinds and tape them to a new roller. Now I’m stuck with rolling up 4 blinds by hand and setting them on top of them window sill to stay. …….Good luck **★ — Susan Neufeld, Sept. 2022** > We are now a year and a half waiting for our last Hunter Douglas blind. Jeffrey helped me figure out what clip I needed in order to replace a broken one holding my blinds (for more than 15 years). He sent me new clips - complimentary, and when I needed to remove my old blind, I wasn't sure how to do it without breaking the remaining clips. I searched videos online but couldn't find any that helped. I emailed Jeffrey and responded quickly, explaining how to do it. I couldn't be more appreciative for his assistance. The Hunter Douglas brand have been hands down the best quality of any that we have had. > > The reason for the review now is that we just had a minor issue with the top down / bottom up shades we purchased for the master bathroom a few years ago. We contacted Hunter Douglas support and I have to say I have been awestruck by the level of service we have received. I worked with Mark Small in the consumer support department and I have been incredibly impressed! I got prompt resolution to our issue and follow up by Mark via both phone and email to keep me up to date on the status throughout the process. I haven't been this impressed with a company since I needed parts for my 20 year old Moen faucets and they sent them for free! The quality is outstanding and being able to control raising and lowering the shades remotely brings peace of mind when we're out of town, and convenience when we're at home. We have the shades timed to rise with our alarm clocks! I expected the quality to be good because that's HD's reputation, but I wasn't expecting the material itself to be as beautiful as it is.
