### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Lisa Kleppinger, Sept. 2020**

> The design team at Insignia is creative, experienced and knowledgeable. Our designer Sheryl worked with us on the overall design, then she worked closely with Graham, the architectural draftsman, and Ethan, project manager/owner/ construction expert, to focus on every detail of the project. Time and a lot of effort was taken to make sure that all materials, construction specifications, and scheduling of all sub-contractors is documented and ready to go, so that when the demo starts, there is a detailed plan to complete the project with minimal delays.
> The sub-contractors have all worked with Insignia for many years. Each person who worked on our bathroom were masters of their individual professions. A special shout out to our carpenter, Jesse, who is a rock star!
> What truly sets Insignia apart is their total commitment to customer satisfaction. We can honestly say that they were a total pleasure to work with.

**★★★★★ — Donna Schrack, July 2020**

> Remodeling during a pandemic...closed suppliers, delayed shipping, AWOL tradesmen, masks and gloves. All this did not adversely affect our project, as it was completed to total satisfaction, and on budget. The job was updating a 25 year old kitchen to the owner's specific vision and was not a cookie cutter installation. I could not have worked with a group who was high volume, fast turnaround or impersonal and so appreciated the personal attention provided by Insignia and their team of professionals. I have to admit, I've fired designers before not respecting my vision and wishes. That did not happen here as the team patiently listened and came up with solutions that resulted in my total satisfaction with the final product. Maybe that's not important to some homeowners, who just want to walk away and come back to a finished project...but I'm confident the team at Insignia could have done the project that way, too. An overall enjoyable process, we'll be back.

**★★★★★ — Barry Brotine, March 2017**

> Sheryl was amazing. She was able to slow down the process and focus on every conceivable detail, most of which we never even considered until she took control of the project. Sheryl had a very detailed step-by-step plan from colors and concept to actual schematics and design conception. Each phase was easy going and made the project come to life. Ethan was a pleasure to work with once the construction began. Will certainly go back to Insignia.

**Comment from Insignia Kitchen and Bath Design Studio:**

> We hired Insignia to design and remodel our master bath. We needed our project to be completed fairly quickly and within a certain window and they were able to coordinate all of the necessary materials and contractors to create a wonderful room for us!

**Comment from Insignia Kitchen and Bath Design Studio:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such a great review! And we are so glad that you are happy with your project! Enjoy!

> I was impressed with Insignia Kitchen & Bath from the first phone call. Once I entered the showroom and came face to face with the professionals, I knew I was selecting the right team to update my kitchen. Designer Sheryl developed a plan that totally met my vision. Project Manager Ethan handled the unexpected events that occurred during installation. Contractor Steve was a good guy to have in the house for an extended project like a kitchen. The three of them made suggestions as the project unfolded that resulted in just the finest kitchen. Other Insignia personnel were always at the ready for any question or need. The showroom is brilliant because there are so many samples - cabinet styles, colors and finishes, drawer pulls, backsplash tiles and countertops - it was comforting to pull the design together in 3D. What I am probably most impressed with is that the Designer's responsibilities did not end when the design was complete, nor did the Project Manager's job start with installation - the team worked together continuously. Advice to homeowners considering working with Insignia: Attend one of their Saturday Sit-Down Series events. These are casual and fun events where you will learn a little, but you will also experience the passion of the designers and the depth of their knowledge. In addition, you can tour the showroom. My last piece of advice is to not be afraid. Insignia allows you to spend a significant amount of time with the designer on your specific project prior to you making any monetary commitment.

**Comment from Insignia Kitchen and Bath Design Studio:**

> Thank you so very much for your review! We appreciate your kind words and look forward to working with you on future projects!

> Insignia worked with us on our small master bathroom renovation. While we were somewhat limited in what we could change in terms of layout, given the space we were working with, the result was quite significant in terms of the functionality and look. Insignia (Sheryl W.) did a great job in guiding us on décor, products, and layout options while keeping an eye on the budget goals for this bathroom. As important, Sheryl made sure the renovation work went smoothly. She addressed issues that popped up as the work progressed and was very responsive in helping us work through issues. There are always unexpected things that pop up on projects like this, but the key is to address them quickly and directly and to work with the customer on solutions. Sheryl did a great job in working with us from start to finish. Her professionalism and regard for customer satisfaction is a definite reflection of Insignia's policies and approach to its clients.

> Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate it!

**★★★★★ — usgvince, Sept. 2015**

> The design was great. We took our time looking at various options and there was about 6 meetings over two months. There was a shower, vanity, toilet, lighting and tile floor removed. All new tile shower, medicine cabinet, new subfloor, tile, outcropping stone wall, lighting, toilet and towel racks installed. A couple design ideas makes the bathroom feel much larger. Great workmanship and nice people to work with. I would use them again,

> I've worked with Insignia Kitchen and Bath photographing completed kitchens and baths for their design team for over 15 years. I've always been in awe of the design work that comes out of this Studio. Not only are their designs spectacular, but their design team ( I've had the pleasure to work for all of them), are all talented, creative professionals. When it was time for me to recommend a design team for my own Mothers remodel, and having worked for most of the other kitchen design companys in the Chicago and suburban area....Insignia was the only choice for my Mom.

> Sheryl and the Insignia team helped bring our dreams of a beach-inspired spa-like master bathroom to life. They assisted us in the design, material selections, project management and construction. They found the perfect glass tile that gave us the feeling of rippling water and a floor tile that feels like the boardwalk to the sand. The project was completed in a timely fashion and the construction team was friendly, pleasant and respectful of our home. Every day the site was left clean and tidy, inside and out. Sheryl was always available to handle any concern or question and responded promptly by phone, text or email. We plan to do another project with Sheryl in the future.

**★ — MJ Diaz, April 2015**

> Insignia is extremely unprofessional. I was told over and over again that they could work within any budget, so I paid them $5,000. for 2 designs and a quote, even though they claim free estimates. I never got a design that worked within my budget. I actually never received anything at all. After countless visits to my home, wasting my time, contractors in and out making a mess, I had finally given up on them. I felt as if the designer put her iders on paper 5 minutes before she rang my door bell. I am extremely disappointed with Insignia and I would not recommend this company to anybody.

**★★★★★ — dpiraino22, Nov. 2014**

> I worked with one of the designers from Insignia Kitchen and Bath. The house looks amazing! Every detail was done to perfection and everyone was knowledgable, had great attitudes, and met the deadlines for the most part. The project exceeded my expectations and the customer service now that it's finished is very good.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where did you get the diamond backsplash tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Robert, thank you for your inquiry. The decorative backsplash tile is a Damask handmade tile by Julep Tile.

**Q: What is the name of the flooring?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The floor is a porcelain tile, Wood2 by Ceramiche Refin, color dust.

**Q: Island baskets** *(in Photo Questions)*

I just had my custom cabinets installed today, and part of my design included the built in baskets from this island. I ended up with what appears to be Rev-a-shelf baskets, and they are not the same thing. I would love any information on the baskets-thank you for your help and time.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. I do not have the specific brand name of the baskets as they were supplied by the cabinet manufacturer.

**Q: Island color** *(in Photo Questions)*

What color stain did you use on the island?

A: Morgan,
Thank you for your inquiry. This island top is a custom wood top made of end grain African Mahogany. The finish is natural and is maintained with frequent applications of food grade mineral oil.

**Q: What material is the backsplash made out of? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for your inquiry. This backsplash is a standard white ceramic subway tile.

**Q: appliances?** *(in Photo Questions)*

where did the appliances come from

A: Thank you for your comment Tami. Unfortunately, I do not have that information on file as the homeowner supplied the appliances.
