> We had a fantastic experience working on our bathroom remodel with Jeff Fiorito of Fiorito Interior Design. Jeff is experienced, smart, responsive, a good listener, and an outstanding creative partner for your design project.
>
> We had big dreams for our tiny master bathroom—a 10’ x 10’ area that also has to accommodate our washer/dryer. The original design of the bathroom was a total disaster. Jeff helped us completely reconfigure the space to maximize functionality and storage while at the same time achieving a harmonious and beautiful design. Because this required removing two half walls and moving the shower, vanity, and toilet, Jeff’s extensive experience with a range of past projects was essential to composition of the design. By creating CAD mock-ups of the space, he was able to help us envision the new design and make adjustments before construction began. His patience through multiple rounds of this process was a key factor in the great success of the final project.
>
> Jeff was an excellent listener and an ideal partner. We started our conversation with Jeff by outlining our big-picture goals and values for our remodel: beauty, elegance, and harmony; natural materials and bringing nature into the home; creative use of light; environmentally friendly choices and supporting local businesses; and a focus on contentment rather than cost. Jeff incorporated our values into all of his choices and suggestions. We could not be happier with the outcome.
>
> Development of the design was a collaborative process. Jeff did a great job of figuring out when I wanted to have input and when he should take the lead. He was always completely open to my ideas but also carefully, kindly offered suggestions and re-directions when he thought I might regret one of my choices. On the other side of the coin, he was never heavy-handed with his design suggestions and never got offended if I didn’t like one of his ideas. Designing our bathroom with Jeff was a fulfilling, organic process that was even fun!
>
> Jeff’s follow-through was excellent. He checked in regularly through the implementation of the whole project. After construction started, he was called in to help solve a couple of major issues that were discovered once the walls were opened up. He was flexible and responded quickly when his input was needed. He acted as an advisor when I needed a sounding board while working out issues with my contractor. He also helped with sourcing and purchasing materials, negotiating on our behalf with local vendors to get excellent deals and customer service.
>
> At the end, I felt that Jeff was as excited about our completed project as we were. When I walk into our new bathroom, I feel a sense of peace, well-being, and a great sense of accomplishment! I am so grateful to have had Jeff Fiorito as my designer.

> It was an absolute pleasure working with Jeff on a bathroom renovation project. Jeff is very knowledgeable in his craft, attentive, efficient, and a create communicator. Prior to the onset of the project, Jeff listened attentively to our vision for the bathroom. He diligently created a layout which included all our desired components, including a double vanity, walk-in shower, and separate tub, which was no easy task given the dimensions of the space, then put together a proposal of colors, patterns, and special touches that expertly blended both function and design. He accompanied us to pick out finishes and made the ordering process extremely easy and stress-free. He also worked very closely and effectively with our contractor to ensure that the final project came together exactly as we wanted it! We couldn't be happier with the final product and our bathroom is now our favorite part of the house, a true combination of luxury and tranquility.

> I wanted just one single chair for our living room. I wanted help in picking out this chair so that it would go with everything else. Our living room is not what is in style today, but it is more of an "Old English" style. Not easy to find someone who would help with just one small thing. I have a chair I liked, I looked to see where their chairs were sold, and called and asked for a recommendation. Luckily they gave me Jeff's name. I was apologetic for such a small job, but he happily accepted the challenge. He found several fabrics, and we quickly picked out a green plaid one. But since he was at our house, you know how this goes......I mentioned that I hated my dining room table. Jeff suggested that we get a table that would blend with our antique buffet. Expensive, so I dragged my feet. When the chair arrived, Jeff and I spoke again. I told him that the one thing that I regretted was not getting the table. He said as with everything else, prices were going up, and I might consider doing it sooner rather than later. Jeff came out once again to look at the finishes, so that we could pick a finish that blended well with what we already have. When the table arrived, we told Jeff that our shower was leaking and it was time to update......you can see where this is going. Not only did Jeff meet us twice at tile stores, but he found someone who would replace our shower for us. (Previously we had called about 6 different people, and no one would come out, they just wanted us to send pictures, and then we never heard from them again.) I haven't even mentioned the living room pillows for my couch that brighten up the room.....Jeff is a pleasure and easy to work with. He understood what I was looking for and was a great cheerleader when I got rid of my old clunky dining room set! And let's face it, I'm still thinking about the quail lamp that he showed me....we are very happy with everything that Jeff helped us with. Our house looks refreshed, and more updated.

**Comment from Fiorito Interior Design:**

> Oh my gosh Kathy, thanks so much for the wonderful review! You and Mark were a delight to work with. I am so pleased that all the pieces fit with your home. And the quail lamp is still in production if you have a hankering... \*wink wink\*

> Jeff listened to our needs (particularly with the "kid friendly" aspect) and created a space that has become an oasis. It's been one of our favorite rooms. His taste is impeccable and we can't thank him enough! Hiring an interior designer was new for us, but Jeff was upfront and forward with the steps he would take and what was involved in his work. He kept us within budget as well. Jeff is fantastic and we highly recommend him.

> I have worked with Fiorito Interior Design on a few projects including a major update to my home. What I appreciated the most was Jeff’s ability to identify changes that would result in the most impact. He quickly pinpointed styles that would work for the space, helped me to determine what furnishings to hold on to, and where to invest in new. He was so flexible and open-minded while driving to clear decisions. I would have been lost without his support. I highly recommend Jeff for any project, big or small.

> Jeff Fiorito is a pleasure to work with! As a general contractor I take great pride in delivering a quality job on time and on budget and strive to deliver above expectations. Working with Jeff to create his clients' vision made it easy for me to achieve this since he shares the same values. I really appreciated Jeff's excellent flow of communication, impeccable organization and timely scheduled deliveries to the jobsite. Jeff's clients share with me that they are thrilled with his work and that he delivers what he promises and I would have to agree!

**★★★★★ — Holly Simmons, Dec. 2018**

> I hired Fiorito Interior Design to help me with a diverse project that involved visualizing a new look and feel for my home that had been remodeled from 1970’s hippie house to a modern beach-vibe home. What I most appreciated about Jeff was his ability to listen, identify the needs for the space, and to propose amazing design approaches that turned my house into a completely new experience while taking advantage of some of the vintage characteristics. Jeff is a master in all areas of interior design - layout, colors, wall decor, soft furnishings, furniture, etc. Jeff is an excellent communicator, very well organized, an excellent coach, and did a fabulous job at executing on the vision. It’s clear he loves what he does and it shows every step of the way!
>
> I am so grateful to Fiorito Interior Design for helping me bring my home to be a beautiful space for myself, my family, and guests.

**★★★★★ — Debapriya, Aug. 2018**

> I hired Jeff to help us design our living and dinning area that reflects our energy, experiences, and personality. He was professional in all regards. He first listened intently to what we had to say and then suggested his creative ideas based on our conversation. As a result, our home looks more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.
> Size of our living/dinning space was limited which made his job challenging.and we had to go for customized furniture. Jeff made it super easy to make my selections on everything from furniture to show pieces. Everyone who comes to visit our house appreciated the interior design made by Jeff. I am super happy to work with him and highly recommending Jeff to anyone looking for help on interior designing.

**Comment from Fiorito Interior Design:**

> Thanks Debapriya, I appreciate it! You were wonderful clients: open to design ideas and eager to create something beautiful. Thanks for the opportunity. I think it turned out so well and I am thrilled you are pleased with it.
> Best,
> Jeff

> I highly recommend Jeff Fiorito Interior Design! One thing that is unique about Jeff compared to other designers we spoke with, is that Jeff can work with any person's individual style. You can see this on his website when reviewing his portfolio. I have very particular taste, which Jeff totally understood, and helped me find the perfect items for our project. He is professional and an overall pleasant human being with a good sense of humor! You will be very happy to work with him!

> Through a recommendation from a friend, we hired (Jeff) Fiorito Interior Design to redesign our Master Bathroom. We had no idea where to start, but with Jeff's help and design vision, we got the bathroom we always dreamed about. Jeff was fantastic to work with and took care of the small and large details that go into a remodel. We are extremely happy with the finished product and would definitely recommend Jeff.

**Comment from Fiorito Interior Design:**

> Tracey, thank you so much for this great review. YOU were fantastic to work with as well, open to design ideas and solutions. I really love how it all turned out!

> I loved working with Jeff! He had wonderful ideas and a vast knowledge of the different building/finishing materials that we were using. He helped me find color pallets and match everything beautifully. He listened to what I wanted and did not force his own agenda, which I have found to be the case with other designers. He was also helpful in making sure quotes from suppliers were correct and deliveries occurred on time. Would totally work with Jeff again if/when I have another project.

**★★★★★ — Joan Custer, March 2017**

> I hired Jeff to help me design the remodel of my master bathroom. I started the project on my own with a local contractor, but was overwhelmed with the choices and decisions that need to be made. Jeff was the first designer I ever worked with and from the first appointment to the finished product, I knew I had made a fantastic choice. In fact. My contractor was so impressed that he started referring potential clients to Jeff.
>
> What I most liked about Jeff, is that he listened to me and designed the bathroom to my likes, vs. pushing any design on me. Though, he did push me out of my comfort zone at times. I told Jeff to offer me choices, as I may not always know what I would like, but I definitely know what I don’t like. As a newbie to working with a designer, Jeff was so patient with him and answered all of my questions.
>
> I will use Jeff again when I have another project and I now recommend him to anyone who asks me for a designer.
>
> Thank you Jeff!

**★★★★★ — Steffen Vulpius, Aug. 2016**

> Jeff is an amazing designer. Not only does he have a great sense of style, his knowledge and experience allow him to immediately pinpoint the perfect product based on my poorly articulated descriptions. He is a pleasure to work with as he fully subscribes to his client's vision and makes it his own and always strives to deliver the absolutely best solution for any budget. He is trustworthy and easy to work with and just a generally great person to be around.

**★★★★★ — Kevin O'Grady, July 2016**

> Jeff was a tremendous asset in helping us remodel our 1924 California Spanish style house (living and dining room - furniture, custom drapes & rug, paint color, lighting, etc.). We had concept in mind, but would not have been able to execute without his help. He listened to our ideas and would return with several options for us to choose from. The few times that those options missed the mark he would take the feedback and come back with an option that was right on target. I’ve looked at the retail price of items similar to the ones we purchased and am convinced that the design pro wholesale discounts that he passed on to us more than covered his fees. He was easy to work with, flexible, and talented at tying it all together from a design and style perspective.

**Comment from Fiorito Interior Design:**

> Jeff Fiorito is the consummate design professional. Instantly, he can find a source for anything from a pillow Fringe to a major custom piece of furniture. Most important, he knows how to listen to the client and create a setting that reflects the client's own vision, taste, and individuality. I could not have found a better person to create my Santa Cruz home.

**★★★★★ — Cathy Kolumbus, Jan. 2016**

> I have worked with Jeff on two occasions - for my family room and currently on my master bath. I have found Jeff's credentials, experience and knowledge to be of top quality, which is a huge plus in the Santa Cruz, CA area. He is very accommodating to my budget, work style and decision making. Having connections at most of the supply companies, Bay Plumbing, Mission Tile, All Natural Stone & Tile, SV Design Mart, etc. along with contractors, is a huge plus. As a business professional, I appreciate that Jeff conducts his business as such and appreciate that he is easy and fun to work with. I'm luck to have found a reliable resource!

> I was referred to Jeff by a friend and could not have been happier with the experience. The furniture we had was fine, but we wanted to take it to the next level in our new house and make sure that everything worked together. Jeff helped us define our style and did the vast majority of the leg work in finding the furniture we needed. He is personable and professional. It was such a relief to not have to spend the entire weekend driving around to countless stores looking at hundreds of things. Jeff brought us pictures of 3-5 things and would go back if we needed another round. He also helped manage the ordering and delivery - helping out if there were any issues. We plan on using Jeff again once we get the next phase of our remodel together.

He has great ideas about local stores to look at, artists, and places to shop online that suit my taste.

  - Description: What had once been a purely utilitarian bathroom — all bland white fixtures and little sense of personality — became an opportunity to embrace the carefree spirit of a second home by the Pacific. Rather than treating the space with the restraint of a primary residence, we leaned into something more playful and transportive, drawing from the colors and textures of the coastline just beyond the windows. A wallcovering patterned with oversized seashells in soft blue and white wraps the room like a…

  - Description: When purchasing a new home, clients often inherit outdated spaces that are either dysfunctional or simply unappealing. Such was the case for a couple who came to me with a cramped primary bathroom. Defined by an unmistakable 1980s aesthetic and a truly perplexing layout, the space was divided into a maze of enclosed areas, including a walled-in shower and an awkward corner vanity. By fully gutting the room, we were able to reimagine it from the ground up, creating a space that feels open, expans…

  - Description: My clients approached this kitchen remodel hoping not only for improved functionality but for a space that invited comfort, warmth, and daily enjoyment. Their existing kitchen was limited in both layout and atmosphere where a small island barely larger than a podium offered little utility. An oversized double-width doorway at the rear of the room leading into the adjacent living space disrupted the flow, making furniture placement nearly impossible. They longed for a kitchen where cooking felt e…

  - Description: For this primary bathroom renovation in a Mid-Century home I created an appropriately minimalist yet striking aesthetic that combines sleek, clean lines with warm, artisanal touches. The layout features a separate glass-enclosed shower and a freestanding tub, creating a spa-like retreat. A bold, dark green vanity anchors the space, offering a rich visual contrast against the otherwise bright and airy palette. - Description: This gorgeous, nature-inspired Great Room—comprised of the kitchen, dining area, and sitting room—was reimagined for some wonderful repeat clients, beginning with a small, treasured piece of art. Their large 1950s ranch house nestled into a gentle hill surrounded by orchards of fragrant orange, lemon, and cherry trees initially featured a too-small kitchen adjacent to a warren of small spaces with low ceilings serving as a dining and sitting area. - Description: Sometimes the shape and size of a space is great but the details inside seem wrong. That was what my clients thought about their primary bathroom in their newly purchased mountain home. As only the second owners of this large house built in the early 90s, they were eager to be rid of an array of artifacts from that period: a wall of glass bricks at the shower; a huge Jacuzzi tub and deck; and an odd, unnecessary run of shelving about a foot down from the ceiling line. - Description: This bathroom remodel was in reality a bathroom creation! Part of a guest room, the bathroom was originally a clothes closet with a by-pass door facing a tiny single sink and a water closet. Reclaiming space from the clothes closet meant that my client could have a fully functioning bathroom as part of the guest suite, a fact she sweetly used to entice her aging mother to come and move in. The sink and dedicated vanity area are illuminated by vintage-looking sconces. For the floor, we chose a sm…

  - Description: In the early days of the global pandemic of 2021, my client decided to leave a more densely populated city environment in favor of a more suburban atmosphere with fewer people, where things are less crowded. They found a Tudor-style home built in the 1980s and set about updating it to make it their own. When my client contacted me, one of her top priorities in the home was a complete kitchen renovation for which she already had some very clear ideas. She came to the project with colors and overa…

  - Location: Monte Sereno, CA

  - Description: The request from my client for this kitchen remodel was to imbue the room with a rustic farmhouse feeling, but without the usual tropes or kitsch. What resulted is a beautiful mix of refined and rural. To begin, we laid down a stunning silver travertine floor in a Versailles pattern and used the color palette to inform the rest of the space. The bleached silvery wood of the island and the cream cabinetry compliment the flooring. Of course the stainless steel appliances continue the palette, as d…

  - Description: When a large family renovated a home nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, all bathrooms received dazzling upgrades and this master bathroom was no exception. The spacious room faces a private yard with an abundance of greenery and views of the foothills, so I chose light, cool colors and organic materials to reference the beauty just outside. We chose an elegantly curved freestanding bath tub which echoes the beautiful, sinuous twists of the tub filler and sink faucets. I worked…

  - Description: When a large family renovated a home nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, all bathrooms received dazzling upgrades, but in a family of three boys and only one girl, the boys must have their own space. This rustic styled bathroom feels like it is part of a fun bunkhouse in the West. We used a beautiful bleached oak for a vanity that sits on top of a multi colored pebbled floor. The swirling iridescent granite counter top looks like a mineral vein one might see in the mountains of…

  - Description: When a large family renovated a home nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, all bathrooms received dazzling upgrades, but none more so than this sweet and beautiful bathroom for their nine year-old daughter who is crazy for every Disney heroine or Princess. We laid down a floor of sparkly white Thassos marble edged with a mother of pearl mosaic. Every space can use something shiny and the mirrored vanity, gleaming chrome fixtures, and glittering crystal light fixtures bring a sens…

  - Description: Like many projects, this one started with a simple wish from a client: turn an unused butler’s pantry between the dining room and kitchen into a fully functioning, climate-controlled wine room for his extensive collection of valuable vintages. But like many projects, the wine room is connected to the dining room which is connected to the sitting room which is connected to the entry. When you touch one room, it only makes sense to reinvigorate them all. We overhauled the entire ground floor of th…

  - Description: When a client in Santa Cruz decided to add on to her Arts and Crafts bungalow, she created enough space for a new powder room, and we looked to the very nearby ocean for inspiration. This coastal-themed bathroom features a very special wallpaper designed by legendary Italian designer Piero Fornasetti, and made by Cole & Sons in England. White wainscoting and a navy blue vanity anchor the room. And two iron and rope sconces with a wonderful maritime sense light this delightfully salty space. Phot…

  - Description: The mission: turn an unused back patio into a space where mom and dad and kids can all play and enjoy being together. Dad is an avid video gamer, mom and dad love to play board games with friends and family, and the kids love to draw and play. After the patio received a new enclosure and ceiling with recessed LED lights, my solution was to divide this long space into two zones, one for adults and one for kids, but unified with a sky blue and soothing green color palette and coordinating rugs. **Q: Love the floor!** *(in Photo Questions)*

What sizes are the floor tiles? Thanks so much!

A: Hi Jennifer,

The floor tiles are 3x6 which makes a pleasant herringbone pattern for a smaller space. The border is created from 1x1 Mother of Pearl mosaic tiles.

Thanks for the question and your interest!

**Q: what tile did you use for the backsplash?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am looking for a rustic, yet timeless, backsplash. You accomplished that with your tile choice.

A: Hi anniegabby,

Thanks for the question. I chose a porcelain tile that looks like weathered white washed brick. It is from a ca company called Longust, the product is Queensboro Bridge, the colorway is Ivory. Hope this helps!

Jeff Fiorito, Allied ASID
