If Tarai designed everyones home for them, we would all have a peaceful world because no one would want to lrave their home. > This is a 2000sq. foot home built from the ground up. Two bedroom, two baths with a great room, a pantry a laundry room and a screened in porch. It is is Mexico on the Yucatan so we had to pay special attention to staying cool. Hence high ceilings and fans and window and door placement to encourage cross ventilation. The style is a modern take on traditional hacienda style. We chose Hacienda peach for the exterior and a lovelt white inside with an amazing subtle turquoise punch wall for excitement in the large kitchen living space. Tara needed to work with what furniture I had and her placement of it and her choice if fabric to recover pieces has transformed all of it. I had a 12 foot enclosed porch at first on the plans. She convinced me to add 4 feet and I am so glad she did. Pele would be too cramped around the table. Now we totally enjoy the space.. The gardens have lovely scented gardenia, white ginger, and jasmine off the porch mixed in with herbs and vegetables and glorious palms. She had large bamboo planted as a screen for my neighbor and I feel as if my yard goes on forever with no neighbors! This home has no steps or stairs as I am older now. Tara made sure all doorways were plenty big for equipment if I need it in years to come, she helped me find beautiful nonslip floors, the bathrooms are beautiful and very roomy. Even her choice of knobs for drawers and cabinets have brought interest and fantasy to the decorating. I find it hard to leave home to go to work! You could try eBay or first dibs and see what they offer, or look for an English antique importer in your area. **Q: Exterior** *(in Photo Questions)* This is a beautiful home. Is the siding cement board or vinyl? Would you ever do a higher end home in vinyl? A: This house has wood siding. Fiber cement board can be used which is paintable for less maintenance. Personally I would not use vinyl or aluminum siding on a high end house. You need to take into consideration the style of the house, .
