We got burned by another company owned by Neil Parsons (Design Build Pros, then changed of name to Design Build Planners) over 5 years ago and continue to warn others... that's how bad it was. Took over $5k to design a kitchen addition for us and after several ridiculous floorplans asked us for more money to continue trying. By "ridiculous" I mean no consideration to load bearing walls, water and electrical routing being placed in the most difficult places, kitchen counters and appliances just placed against walls of a 20x15 foot room. Imagine walking across a dance floor sized space to get from the sink to the stove. There were zero design skills in the product they provided and gave up realizing that they weren't capable of providing it. This is just a ploy to get your money, give you bad advice and hope you move on and chalk it up to a lesson learned.
