**Q: Shingles!!!  Are these western red cedar?  Are they stained?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: They are cedar and they came pre stained prior to installation.

I love the grandchildren. How to co-exist with their toys

A: We put the posts on the outside because pressure treated lumber has lots of chemicals injected into them for ground contact.  We would not want those chemicals anywhere near our soils or vegetables.

this looks like 2x8 boards for a 16" height, correct? 4x4 support on the outside with a 1x6 around the top, correct? Do you put the gravel under the planter bed for drainage or under the boards to keep the wood off the ground?  Do you line the inside with a landscape fabric?

A: We only line the sides with pond liner and the bottom remains open to the ground with gravel for drainage.

A: The boards are true 2 by 10 rough cut cedar for a total of 20"

Are the side posts buried in the ground or just sitting on top?

A: Pressure treated posts contain lots of chemicals to prevent them from rotting.  We recommend leaving them outside of the cedar to prevent any chemical leaching.

How wide are the paths between boxes?

A: We like to do a minimum 3' wide pathway so people can use a wheel barrow in between the boxes.
