She knew exactly what I should keep for staging purposes and what had to go into storage. We worked together to select paint colours, carpet, lighting, mirrors and hardware to update the 2000 sq. ft., 3 bdrm home where I had lived for 30 years. I was so happy to leave the shopping to her! Louise is a champion budget buyer with excellent contacts. The items she selected were cost conscious, yet classy. She saved me incalculable time, money and stress wandering around home centres dithering over decisions. > > Louise and Joseph (the other half of Pair Design) were attentive, encouraging, and a lot of fun to be around. In the midst of other preparations, Joseph saw to an emergency toilet repair that required replacing a section of subfloor, managing to preserve the sheet vinyl, which saved having to install new flooring. My son had already done quite a few minor renos and repairs, but I still had a long list of updates to make the place look more modern. On these I trusted Louise's judgment in materials and style, and my son did most of the installations. > > Before the big launch, Louise and her assistant staged the entire house, using mostly my own furnishings and decor in ways I couldn't have imagined (why hadn't I thought of that?!), augmented by items from her rental accessories package. If only I had listened, I could have saved a month of headaches... all the other contractors she sent my way were superb professionals. That went well with lots of conversations and eye rolling. Change is hard. Now comes the staging for sale and success part. More stuff had to go. There is no maybe, if you want results . My wife and I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and we are clean people to begin with. The pair team threw us out of the house so they could work there magic. Counter top is made of marble called Crema Marfil 3cm with a D2 eased profile along with a 3.5" back splash and we had a custom marble block made for putting the flat iron on.
