> I have been a professional designer for over twenty five years. I have worked with Charlie Supero, owner and master cabinet maker in the past. Charlie is extremely knowledgable about construction and understands design. He works well with designers and pays attention to detail. Currently, he's working on building a solid Walnut kitchen cabinets for my clients. I've visited his shop with my clients, my client and I were very impressed with the way his shop was run and all the workmanship that goes into the production.
> They have a family run business and everyone is very nice to work with. I highly recommend them.

**Comment from Design 2 Development:**

> Thanks Kathy. It's a pleasure working with you too. Would you mind posting this review under cabinet by design so Charlie may receive the lovely review.

> Sharon Subero thought out each detail, no matter how small and insignificant I may have thought it to be. She brought me to see, or took me to see the marble and, believe me, these places were far. She helped me combine them in the different ways to create an extremely beautiful entry, interior for the elevator and luxurious bathrooms and hallways. She helped me decide which fabrics to use where, keeping me always within our budget. The vendors whom she used were very careful not to damage anything near their work and completed their jobs as quickly and as beautifully as possible.
> I was amazed by the moldings and different species of wood for the floors or the tiles used in the secondary bathroom. In addition, she made a catalogue of the types of furniture i liked and helped me choose which pieces and where they would go. That's another point. Two huge containers arrived at the house on the day we were to move in. She showed the movers exactly where and how to place each piece, from the antiques to the dining room tables and chairs, to the beds in each bedroom; there are six in the main house and two more in the guest house. The table and chairs and nicknacks that go in the wine room. She made sure that my drawing was etched onto the glass of the wine room. It really is beautiful; plus the sink and the leather walls. Oh my God! Did I mention that there are four dining-room tables and forty chairs; there are buffets and pictures and mirrors, and chandeliers .
> In addition to creating a home, actually for me, it is my palace; over twenty-two thousand square feet that amazes me everyday and that does not include all of the balconies and patios. She advised me of all of the molding and colors of exterior paint, which is not exactly paint it is cement and paint together, brushed on in a European manner as are the interior walls in the house. Did I mention the guest house? Oh, it is also grand, about three thousand square feet; it is a complete house that anyone would love to live in with its own balconies and separate yard. There was so much to think about regarding these two homes; faucets, floors, moldings around them and at the ceiling, types of wood for the cabinets, colors to give them, paintings painted onto the walls; types of mirrors in each bathroom, some of which are very old and, the great mirrors in the entry. Whether I speak about the living room, my husbands office and bathroom, the guest bathrooms; even the bathroom for the housekeepers and the sauna-bathroom downstairs. Oh, I forgot the eight-car below ground garage. There the wine rooms resides along with the yoga/exercise wood floor covered room, the bathroom I already mentioned; it also has a wet-sauna/shower. That room is great and can handle at least four in the sauna. Sharon put so much time and effort, finding the right people to create hers and my idea of how it should look and function. Function, that was something Sharon mentioned often. She said, The faucet or the space or," whatever item she was talking about, "must work; it cannot only be beautiful."
> My husband and I did not originally hire Sharon. She had worked for another company before she created her own. We had three or four designers who mainly just took our money but did nothing in the way of furthering the completion of the house. We finally asked Sharon to only do my husband's office bathroom. The design was spectacular. Then we added the guest bathrooms and then we gave her the awesome job of completing the house. Our son Gilly was the contractor and he built the houses which took three years, from changing the original plans; we made it about three or four times the original size from what we got upon buying the lot. Sharon took over the interior and exterior decorating and I don't regret either choice. Proof is that the previous, well-known decorators basically just took the money and completed nothing. We knew that the job, for both Gilly Rojany and Sharon Subero was a tremendous challenge. Both had completed smaller houses before.
> Sharon helped me with everything and, as I said before, I and my husband walk through the house daily and still are amazed at how beautiful and grand it is. All of our thanks go to Sharon and Gilly for creating our dream.

**Comment from Design 2 Development:**

> Yes you're right Janis. The project was grand. It was fun. I enjoyed every moment of designing your palace.

> We just finished a PERFECT remodeling project with Design2Development. They did everything in a timely manner including design, project management, hiring of subcontractors, installation, cabinet manufacturing, etc., etc. Their employees and craftsmen are the very best. You couldn't ask for a more professional company. In fact, we are now starting a second project with them. I have no hesitations in recommending D2D to anyone who wants a high quality finished project.

**★★★★★ — gnored, March 2015**

> Design to Development provides an incredible service. Not only did they design the remodel of our home inside and out, they oversaw all aspects of the construction. They are incredibly talented, having come up with many ideas for design, decoration, and space-maximizing measures that we would never have thought of. The final result was a second home that we are so pleased with. They are also always on time, respectful, keep a clean work area, and exceed deliverables on the contract, actually beating our deadlines. We couldn't be more happy with the results.Highly recommended.

**Comment from Design 2 Development:**

> Thank you Lisa. It was definitely a challenge working on your project with a breastfeeding child.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Selecting a study desk** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are having trouble selecting desks for my daughter's bedroom. We bought her a bed and dresser set a few years ago, and now we are trying to buy a desk for her bedroom. Her old desk was inside our study room, but now we don't have a study so we are keeping it in her room. However, all of the desks we like are white, and her bed set is a very creamy wood, with certain sections stained light maple. Not to mention, the shape, and the knob style of the bed and dresser aren't matching with the desks. So do any of you have any suggestions for alternatives to a matching desk?

I'll post images in a little bit when possible...

A: Contact Cabinet by Design at cabinetbydesign.com or 818-781-7673. We will give you suggestions. We are designers and manufacturers.
