I am in the process of updating a huge stone fireplace and wanted a rustic mantel, so I ordered one online without any concern except I wanted something pretty. Although the mantel was pretty, there was no way it could be mounted on a bumpy stone wall without some way to make it "fit". The artistry of Estephan (hope I spelled it correctly) made three templates and carved out the solid piece of wood to make it fit the ups and downs perfectly. He and Don mounted it on the wall with great precision, and it looks beautiful. Don made another trip to our home to glue it in place because I changed my mind about using glue. He also hung a huge picture over the mantel for us because Ken and I together couldn't get it up high enough and onto the hook. The cost was very reasonable and everyone associated with Custom Corners was a pleasure to work with. It was important to me and the look of the kitchen to get this long shelf done in a single piece. Heather assured me she could get the job done to my specs. What you will need is some special masonry screws to hang the cleat that the mantel comes with. Once you purchase your piece I can send you a few links to show exactly how to do it.
