I wanted her to help pick out paint colors so we scheduled an appt. She first asked to push back my appointment so that she could get in a bike ride. Then, She was 15 minutes late for our 2:00 appt, I had a hard stop at 3:00 for a conference call, so we had to rush through picking out paint colors. She stated 10 minutes over while i was on my call, and then left with a few colors written down and a bill for $85, her minimum charge. We didn't have time to go through the colors and talk about them. > > I messaged her that I was really disappointed about this situation, she called and had a very defensive attitude, telling me that she drove from Littleton to my house for this appt - uh, why is that my problem?? Then defended herself saying that traffic held her up. Again, how is this my fault? > > What really rubbed me the wrong way and the ultimate reason I would not recommend her was her attitude. Not apologetic, in fact argued that I was upset about 5 minutes. Again, it wasn't that she didn't stay a full hour and charged me for a full hour, it was the fact that she didn't apologize, or try to work something out where we could reschedule and have more time to go through the colors, rather than being rushed. To me, attitude is everything, and that we were so rushed through everything and didn't get to discuss things > I feel I wasted $85, got nothing for it, except an attitude at me and I did nothing wrong. **Comment from DeNovo Home:** > Karen, > I am truly sad that you were so disappointed. Please remember that you called me at 12:00, after I had started driving to your home, to request our 1:00 appointment be pushed back to 2:00 due to an unforeseen phone meeting. Unfortunate, but not your fault. I gladly accommodated. As you know, I allowed 20 minutes for a 10 minute drive, but got held up in construction traffic on the bridge for 30 minutes. Unfortunate and obviously unforeseen, but no one’s fault. It is clear that we both had constraints put on our time that were beyond our control resulting in a less than ideal consultation. I’m sorry my constraint affected you so negatively. > Please also recall that I recommended that you send only what you felt was right.
