> I would not recommend Nancy. I wanted her to help pick out paint colors so we scheduled an appt. She first asked to push back my appointment so that she could get in a bike ride. Then, She was 15 minutes late for our 2:00 appt, I had a hard stop at 3:00 for a conference call, so we had to rush through picking out paint colors. She stated 10 minutes over while i was on my call, and then left with a few colors written down and a bill for $85, her minimum charge. We didn't have time to go through the colors and talk about them.
>
> I messaged her that I was really disappointed about this situation, she called and had a very defensive attitude, telling me that she drove from Littleton to my house for this appt - uh, why is that my problem?? Then defended herself saying that traffic held her up. Again, how is this my fault?
>
> What really rubbed me the wrong way and the ultimate reason I would not recommend her was her attitude. Not apologetic, in fact argued that I was upset about 5 minutes. Again, it wasn't that she didn't stay a full hour and charged me for a full hour, it was the fact that she didn't apologize, or try to work something out where we could reschedule and have more time to go through the colors, rather than being rushed. To me, attitude is everything, and that we were so rushed through everything and didn't get to discuss things
> I feel I wasted $85, got nothing for it, except an attitude at me and I did nothing wrong.

**Comment from DeNovo Home:**

> Karen,
> I am truly sad that you were so disappointed. Please remember that you called me at 12:00, after I had started driving to your home, to request our 1:00 appointment be pushed back to 2:00 due to an unforeseen phone meeting. Unfortunate, but not your fault. I gladly accommodated. As you know, I allowed 20 minutes for a 10 minute drive, but got held up in construction traffic on the bridge for 30 minutes. Unfortunate and obviously unforeseen, but no one’s fault. It is clear that we both had constraints put on our time that were beyond our control resulting in a less than ideal consultation. I’m sorry my constraint affected you so negatively.
> Please also recall that I recommended that you send only what you felt was right. I have received nothing, so you have not wasted a cent.

> DeNovo homes helped me to renovate my kitchen and gave me ideas for renovations for future renovations that include family room, dining room ,loft, office, bedrooms and basement. My home was a starter home and needed a major overall and I did not even know where to start. DeNovo came in and gave me great and affordable ideas. Their ideas created very beautiful and practical spaces and I no longer have to be embarrassed when people walk in our home. Everyone involved in the renovation project from Nancy the designer to all the subcontractors were always on time and pleasure to work with. I plan on hiring them in the future for many many more projects.

> Nancy provided me with color consultation for my home interior wall paint color. Following her inquirey with me as to what my color goals were, she did a fabulous job of chosing exactly what I was hoping for. The paint she picked has been such a beautiful addition to my home. Additionally, Nancy suggested other accent pieces and colors (pillows, lamps, etc.) that have also added just the pop I was hoping for. Nancy is professional, reliable and very experienced. I would highly recommend her interior decorating services. My home is even more "homey" now that it has Nancy magic touch!

> Nancy's support in preparing my house for sale was invaluable! With very focused changes, she helped it to show beautifully, resulting in an immediate sale at the price I was seeking. Moving into my new house, Nancy has helped in numerous ways including paint selection, furniture placement and accessorizing. Nancy is an absolute professional and I recommend her services without reservation.

> Nancy is an excellent designer. She is very task oriented to get things going so that the contractor is not held up by decision making from the designer and homeowner. She helped me from start to finish, even taking over complete decision making when necessary. She spent time before the project, getting a very accurate idea of what we wanted and then planned our stops accordingly. She has an idea of my wants when I can't quite verbalize them. I have a beautiful new master bath that is one of the happiest rooms in my home.

> This is the first tme I have hired an interior designer and it was a great experience! Nancy was very knowledgable and listened to what I wanted out of my home.
> The results were beyond my wildest dreams, my home is warm and cozy and great for entertaining! Exactly what I wanted and needed!

> Nancy does an outstanding job trying to understand what the client wants. She is resourceful in finding the materials and products for your project. She is really good at thinking outside the box but also very respectful of the client's perspective and desires. She is super flexible and understands her clients with respect to how quickly or slowly they want to navigate through a project. Nancy is extremely professional and organized. I highly recommend DeNovo home!!

  - Description: This project entailed updating and furnishing a second home for a family of five in the Colorado Mountain town of Breckenridge. The owner desired a somewhat refined mountain style - not too rustic. The focal point of this home is the beautiful and massive moss-rock fireplace. Using inspiration provided by the hammered topped dining table, one of the only pieces that came with the home, the fireplace surround, range hood and kitchen walls were faux painted by a native local artist, mimicking hamm…
