### Reviews

**★ — Divya, June 2021**

> VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!- We signed a kitchen remodelling contract with ProPainting early Feb 2021, and after paying the retainers agreement amount, had a hard time following up with them to finalize a design . We spent around 6 months following up with them without any final design (Until June 2021), had to drop the project after getting tired of their procrastination.
>
> They wasted so much of our time and denied a refund. I have never seen such an unprofessional company. Again, I usually don't write reviews very often but want to make sure no one else goes through the trouble of following up months behind them after paying the amount. Such a horrible experience!!

**★★★★★ — Tommy Daniel, Sept. 2017**

> Justin and his crew did an awesome job! They were professional, respectful and very efficient. It's like a brand new house!

**★★★★ — Kate S, June 2017**

> I've used this company a couple of times for exterior work and painting. They are clean and thorough and check in often to make sure I'm pleased. When I wasn't completely satisfied, they came back and made it right.

**★★★★★ — Hal Payne, Jan. 2017**

> This was the biggest project my wife and I have taken on, and it went smoother than expected. Great quality work, affordable and finished on time.

**★ — coopster49, Oct. 2016**

> TL;DR - Extremely unprofessional. I was told it would take 3 days to get an estimate and I still don't have one after 3+ weeks. No one at the company will return my calls or emails, and they've not told me at all what the situation is.
>
> I had an extremely negative experience with Renalto, Ashley, and the whole team at Pro Painting and Remodeling. Renalto met me out at a house for a renovation estimate, and we went through and described the work to be done. I explained that we're buying this house and renovating at the same time, so time was of the essence in order to close on the hose. Renalto said that he could have an estimate in 3-4 days.
>
> He missed that deadline, with no comment to me. I contacted them the next week and was told that he'd have it by that weekend. He did not, with no comment about why things were taking so long. He did not have it the following week.
>
> No one at this company will return my calls or e-mails- they've apparently decided that it is easier to just ignore me than to prepare this estimate, which is extremely unprofessional and has single-handedly delayed my closing date by a few weeks.

**★★★★★ — Kah-Lee Wong, May 2016**

> ProPaintig and Remodeling did a major renovation on our office condo which was flooded. Bob came in and gave us a very detailed estimate and managed our project from beginning to end. They repaired drywall and replaced baseboard and crown molding. They installed new hardwood flooring in the lobby and new VCT in the bathrooms along with new carpet throughout. They moved all our furniture and moved it back to allow for carpet install. They painted the entire office.
>
> They did a great job helping us select new colors. Everything looks fantastic! They did the majority of the work over the weekend so that our work was not affected.
>
> It was over $20,000 worth of work which was completed at the agreed upon price without any additional costs. Honest group with fair pricing.

**★★★★★ — Rachel, Jan. 2016**

> I hired ProPainting to repair and paint the exterior of my home, paint the kitchen, dining room and master bedroom as well as take 2 of 3 bathrooms (master and hall full bath) down to the studs and renovate them. I interviewed 3 contractors before interviewing and hiring them. Not only do I love the end result, not only do I receive compliments on their work even a year later, but I intend to hire them again to do additional work (I am hoping this year). The owner of the company, along with their in house designer came to the house to do the estimate. The designer gave me the first visit for free and assisted me thereafter as needed at a reasonable cost. The estimate was the only one of the 4 total contractors that broke every thing down. It was comprehensive and made my choices of what I wanted and could afford easily seen. The project manager was excellent, very responsive and easy to work with. I HIGHLY recommend them, and have done so within my neighborhood. I am thrilled to say they took my recommendation and hired ProPainting. I am attaching some pictures but it limits me being able to post all.

**★ — Katrina Dupouy, Dec. 2015**

> I have had three jobs done,
> The first job was great painted inside they are great painters ( Their contractors ).
> The second job was to have my house painted outside omg the did not cover anything so I had to clean the paint off the windows, table and chair and decking which I have to had repaint the decking,I had to tidy up after them eg razor blades, empty paints tins, now I am left with sidings peeling and will need to be replaced did not even put the putty into the window before painting.
> The third job omg it took 7 month well it is not finish,
> It was a kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is okay, but they damage the wall in the hallway, hand rail, I had to repaint the bathroom and fix the trims which was cut to high,I had to have the carpet replace the all of upstairs the whole lot because I could not get the dirty out of the carpet but the kitchen they measured the doors wrong twice and the drawers well one does not fit correct measure three time, and painted them 4 or 5 times, I had to rehang the doors myself.
> Broke my driveway I have to clean up after them in three different rooms and filled up the dumpster myself, now the paint is starting to come off the doors, so I will have to replace the whole kitchen :(. They never turn up I was left for two months with no one showing.
> I would not recommend pro paints only for painting inside.

**Comment from Pro Painting & Remodeling:**

> Mrs. Dupouy - Thank you for your review. We know our Project Manager took over your project to achieve the satisfactory results. We apologize that your experience was not equal to the same service you received on your first project. There is no excuse for a lack of communication or poor workmanship. We appreciate your business.

> Renato and his team recently remodeled my master bathroom and my kitchen this past summer. I am extremely happy with the results! What made me even happier was feeling confident in the company and their work. I never felt disregarded or ignored, and I always knew things were being handled. Everyone compliments us on our new kitchen from the backsplash down to the new center island. The bathroom is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy we made the leap to make such a big change. When you are investing a large amount of money you want to feel confident in doing so, and we were. I will definitely be hiring them in the future, and referring them to all of my friends.

> They have done 2 jobs at my home, the first was interior painting where they did a decent job at a reasonable price. Second was to replace siding, replace rotten wood on window trim, build a deck, and replace 2 windows. The siding replacement went fairly well, they tried to cover up some rotten siding that we agreed to replace with a portion of the deck, but replaced it after I reminded them of the lapse. While replacing siding, a piece of trim was damaged and with some pressing they replaced it. The window trim was overall replaced with mostly good work. The deck replacement really showed that they employ some mediocre carpenters, there are large chips out of boards, nails coming out of the side of boards (I did not notice the extent of this until after I paid them, that, unfortunately, is my fault). They also tried to place a board that was cut incorrectly and hoped I wouldn't notice - it looked horrible. Some of these issues they replaced when I pointed it out, others were not. Also they did not plan appropriately and placed the stairs directly onto a stump, which I then had to find someone to quickly come out and grind (at my own cost) - there was no apology for the lack of forethought and more money out of my pocket. When they say they will clean up, it means that they will remove their tools, that's about it. I still have dozens of nails, screws, and concrete chips throughout my yard. The dumpster they used strongly smelled of urine as they would use it (while in my yard) as a restroom. The workers do not respect your yard/house as they would their own - something I didn't appreciate. The replacement windows never happened even though I said they could change from the older single pane to easily obtained double pane windows. I have emailed them 3 different times, reminding them that I used them because they assured me that they could do the entire job - have not heard back. In hindsight, I should have gone with another company and will do so in the future.
> I ended paying them in full NOT because I was extremely pleased with the work, but 1) because I was told that there's nothing they could do for the nails sticking out of the side of boards, and 2) I thought they would follow through with my windows and any further issues could be addressed then. Again, I have heard no response. Would not recommend them at all after this last experience and they way they treat repeat customers. Just providing this info to make sure you have a chance to find a good, honest contractor, they are hard to find.
>
> ++Update++ It's time to stain the deck and the boards are starting to warp - since they used nails in some of these boards, they will be very hard to fix (though I was told only screws would be used). Additionally, many of the boards were installed with the ink markings up. I didn't think anything of it until all of the people giving me quotes are asking me why in the world would they do that b/c they're hard to remove and if you know what you're doing you don't make that mistake. I do take contractors words about other people's work with a grain of salt, but when all of them say the same thing about the mediocre quality of work it may mean something. Since I have never heard back about the windows, I am not considering them at all for deck staining. I wish they would have at least offered to finish the work and make good on the lack of quality - I would definitely reconsider my poor review.

**Comment from Pro Painting & Remodeling:**

> We appreciated that the client was happy with his first project and selected us for the second project on his home.
> We're sorry that issues did come up with this project (as can happen with any remodeling project), but our Project Manager addressed each one as the project progressed to the client's satisfaction to the extent that he paid us in full, for the work performed, when the project was completed. We feel the client enjoys the finished product, but did not fully enjoy the 'trip' to get it.

**★★★★★ — SHM Landscape, April 2015**

> It was a joy to work with Renato and his team. The property that needed work was a condo in Sandy Springs. I hired Pro Painting & Remodeling to demo existing cabinets, paint every room, change all electrical outlets, add fans, fix wall imperfections, and close off the upstairs loft to create a private suite. I would definitely recommend this company. The professionalism and great attitudes that permeate the organization made me a happy customer. I look forward to the next opportunity to hire PPR.

**★★★★ — Lynne Marmulstein, July 2014**

> The team at Pro-Painting and Remodeling were thorough and efficient when they recently painted the outside of my home. They paid careful attention to areas where wood and minor repairs needed to be addressed as a part of the prepping process. The painters took time to make sure the surfaces were adequately and neatly painted. They were reasonably priced and did the job in a short amount of time, given the on and off rainy weather.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Need help to decorate this hunter green bathroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This is my kid's bath that I would like to gut someday, but just not in the cards now! I have to live with the hunter green wall tile and floor for a while longer. My kids are 13 (boy) and 7 (girl), so it can't be too "cutsy". I need some suggestions on decorating and design. I was thinking of incorporating some sort of animal print, but I don't know where to start? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

A: You have more space then you think in that bathroom. The setup is which makes it look cramped. Give us a call if you desire any help from a professional company. (404) 587-4573 we do free estimate.
