A: As a Tile Contractor this would NOT happen, or be acceptable for any of our clients. This is unacceptable work. Without knowing the complete story I can see the layout was done incorrectly and very sloppy. Mosaics will have a few here and there that are not layed straight from the factory but they can be fixed prior to install and are never this bad... unless you are purchasing from closeout place that deals in seconds.... On the flip side this brings up a point to consider for future work... was the bid a competitive bid or was it extremely low. If it was low the installer could have been a new company and not had alot of time in the industry/doesn't have experience. We see/fix installs all the time like this, the Home owner gets a referral from a friend that their cousin does tile and its a "good deal" and it turns out to cost 4 or 5 times what one of our bids would have costed originally to fix the problems.
